Cajun, Creole, and Mexican mashup! Great variety for everyone! Some gluten-free items, local items, organic items. All prepared fresh!
Dynamite and always a bite that's sure to satisfy and delight! The chorizo tacos were so perfect even my 19 month old was grabbing at my plate and feeding herself. Always a beautiful day when I find time to stop by the one and only La Vida Cooyon. The Owner is very warm and welcoming, and the general atmosphere has you immediately comfortable and cozy. What are you waiting for? Stop by and dig in! You will fall in love and become a regular, I guarantee it! They're right in behind Sorrento 's in Banner Elk.

We enjoyed sitting outside with our new dog (the inside looks spacious and very comfortable. The Manager, Nik Leon, greeted us and actually took our order, very professional and personable. Our Waitress was friendly and efficient. Our meals were exceptional, freshly prepared with ample portions. We look forward to our next visit. The menu is quite extensive and begs for another experience. We hope you like it as much as we did !

We stopped here after an afternoon of tubing. Our server was friendly and efficient. Food was decent. The guacamole was okay, and my traditional tacos were okay, but the burrito (can't remember which one) that my daughter ordered was really good! And it was huge!! Restrooms were also clean, which is a plus!

I was walking around the little town of Newland exploring their River Walk, and came into town to eat lunch. Something looked special about this small place so I decided to give it a shot. Fantastic. Great little atmosphere, excellent wait staff, and the food...yum! I live in Tampa, FL, and weâve got nowhere near this level of delicious authentic Mexican around my home.

We keep giving this place a chance because it's close and convenient. But in the 3 times we have been there, we have been disappointed every time. Everything seems kinda...soupy to me. Shouldn't re-fried beans at lease have some recognizable beans in them? The taco salad I had on our last visit had some kind of cheese in it that turned really watery, lots of lettuce, and some scrawny pieces of *steak*. The only reason we went back this last time was to have dinner with friends that wanted to go. I'd go again (and choose something else) if our friends want to go back, but I would never suggest we all go there.
