Lincoln Park is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It lies in an area of cities and communities known as Downriver. The population was 38,144 at the 2010 census. The settlement was organized as a village in 1921, and reorganized as a city in 1925. The area was originally home to the Potawatomi Indians who ceded the land to a French settler, Pierre St. Cosme, in 1776. It developed as a bedroom community, providing homes to workers in the nearby steel mills and automobile plants of the Detroit area while having no industry within its bounds.

Like others, I was looking forward to our dinner at Taqueria Mi Pueblo. It was recommended by a coworker and received such great acclaim. Our experience is summed up as disappointing. The food (tostadas and quesadillas) came out fast. Maybe too fast? There was no flavor in anything. Nothing. The tostadas looked good but were described as bland. My quesadillas were totally void of flavor and spice. Rice and beans were just as boring. As we labored through this meal, we realized we had been here years before and had a similar, unimpressive experience. We won't be coming back. There are many worthy places to get your Mexican food fix. This is not one of them.

If you want a fun place for the kids to dine at take them to Manuel's Taco Hut during the month of October. The food is mediocre and the service is ok...families enjoy the atmosphere during Halloween.

I have been going to this Taco Bell since it opened back in the mid 1970's. This store is always busy. The food is always fresh and there is usually a line in the drive thru especially late night. As far as fast food restaurants go, this one is remarkably clean and very well maintained.
We recently moved up from the border and are constantly looking for good authentic Mexican restaurants around the area. We went to Taqueria El Paisa and ordered tacos. One of us had asada and the other had asada and tried a pollo (chicken) one as well. The tacos were good. Before the tacos came, they brought chips and salsa. They also brought beans, which were just okay (see picture - they can be seen on table). The restaurant is in Lincoln Park. There is a lot of great competition in the area (e.g. The Taco Stand in Allen Park or Los Arcos in Lincoln Park). There was a sign saying they had a special on Taco Tuesday - where tacos are only $1 (same as others mentioned above and in area). Picture added of the front of the restaurant as well. If you go, also check out La Sultana (a few doors down) for desert - get the pina (it's a pineapple filled with fruit, gummy worms, etc).

Stopped because I had passed it often, and was in the neighborhood at lunchtime. Interior of the place is festive. There was a leak in the ceiling (very hard rains the past couple of days), so the ceiling tile was gone, and a bucket was placed on a chair to catch the water. In the dining room. Food was just OK - luke warm, even though there were few people in the place when I arrived (about 12:30 PM). Server not attentive, although polite when we did interact. Menu was nothing that I couldn't get elsewhere. There is a full bar, if that's important to you. Bill for a lunch platter (2 burritos, rice, beans plus chips and salsa) was under $6.Bottom line: Won't bother going back - nothing special here.

For a long time I had to resign myself to travel to southwest Detroit or Toledo to quell my cravings. (Never fear, I'll still go to meet friends!) But now I have found Angelina's. The food is always fresh and authentic, which is why there is almost always a wait for an open table; their new expansion should fix this. I found out about this spot by word of mouth. One of my family members' coworkers -- who is Mexican -- asked her to stop by this spot to pick up lunch on her way in. It was so impressive, she called me and told me about it. I have since brought many friends and church members with me to try it out, and it's become the new "go to". Enjoy!

2 thumbs up. The tacos are fat. The seasoning is A1. The salsa is some of the finest youve ever had. They treat you like a paying customer. They move quick. If your looking for a reasonably priced meal that will tickle your fancy... look no further.

I thought that the salsa was just okay, but my husband really liked it. He ordered fajitas and I ordered flautas. Both of us thought our dinners were delicious.
