Find out what Mexican restaurants to try in Lansing. The birthplace of the Oldsmobile and Michigan's automotive center, Lansing offers visitors a number of car-related sites like plant tours and automobile museums, but there are other forces driving this capital city. On the political side, there's the award-winning State Capitol Building, completely restored in 1992, where tourists are wowed by the glass-floor rotunda and acres of decorative handpainted surfaces. The Michigan Historical Museum, which boasts a great collection of items from Michigan's past, including a recreated copper mine, will please history buffs. Children and families will enjoy taking a camel ride at the Potter Park Zoo or spending the day biking through Sleepy Hollow State Park. On the cultural side, the nearby campus of Michigan State University is a must-see for the Kresge Museum and for the beautiful campus itself. Entertaining and educational attractions, great shopping, fabulous restaurants and a variety of affordable accommodations make Lansing worth the ride.

Seriously don't go here for the food. Had queso and chips and four tacos. Server recommended the Ancho Shrimp taco and that was the only good thing I ate. Queso was semi-solid and gross. All other tacos (brisket, mojo pork, chorizo) dry, dry, dry overcooked meat. Ultimately disappointing. Please go here to drink $6 Margaritas and nothing else

A very extensive menu offers the usual fare done very well but skip the usual and go for dishes not found at your normal American/Mexican joint. We started with freshly made spicy ceviche which was great and a large portion besides. Our entrees were Pollo Cancun, a delightful dish of tender chicken with sauce and onions covered with spinach and a cheese sauce and Pollo Supremo which was chicken in a mushroom sauce and a side salad of avocado, tomato and lettuce. I'm sure the same preparation with shrimp would have been great as well. Both dishes were excellent and both came with fresh tortillas. The service was excellent and the ambiance is bright and pleasant. This is the best Mexican in greater Lansing.

This El Azteco has been here forever. Yes, it has a worn feeling to it, but that just adds to its authenticity. If you need brightly colored furniture for your experience, keep moving. Here you find friendly folks serving delicious food at reasonable prices. So good. It is also kind of a neighborhood watering hole, with Spanish and English conversations melting together. Great joint!

What great food - fresh, different ingredients, reflecting different regions of Mexico. Had a quesillida that was so wonderful and a truly tasty frozen marguerrota. My husband had the taco salad and left only crumbles on his plate. Highly recommend this wonderfully decorated restaurant for food and ambience!

El Oasis serves great tasting Mexican food at a very reasonable price! There were some tables to enjoy your meal on a nice day but food orders are essentially all take outs which gives you an option. The menu has quite a selection of items and would definitely go back to try all of them!!

Mexican is my go-to when I travel, as it's pretty reliable, even if quite Americanized. I was pleased with the prompt and friendly service. The house margarita was weak, make with cheap ingredients. The camarones a la diabla weren't nearly as spicy as I would have liked. Portions were large. I would probably go back.

Didn't go inside Met a friend at a table on the sidewalk. Right in Caesar Chavez Dr. / Grd. River.. Delicious tacos, good salsa, seems homemade chips. Mexican tacos are corn tortillas, American tacos are flour. Just cilantro and onions! Perfect! They do not serve margaritas.
