Quesadilla Mobilla

Quesadilla Mobilla is Moab's first and only gourmet food truck, serving up delicious quesadilla's since 2012!

My wife & I walked by this place on the way to a different restaurant our first night in Moab. After a disappointing time at restaurant A... we decided to try Quesadilla Mobilla for a quick dinner! The Enchanted Chicken quesadilla was fantastic. Nothing too crazy, just the basics done very well. The salsa & cilantro sour cream on the side made it even better! I think it is reasonably priced ($8.75 for the quesadilla) that was so big we split it. I recommend the Quesadilla Mobilla for a quick lunch or casual dinner. They do have picnic tables available too.

El Charro Loco

Family owned and operated. Making authentic Mexican food and Mexican bread.

Unless you're a solo diner, order the Charro Loco Plate and share it. It will satisfy four! Not to mention, it's also delicious. There are actaully three Charro Loco Plates, 1) vegetarian, 2) beef and chicken and 3) beef, chicken and shrimp. They are priced accordingly. The cooked pineapple adds to the flavor, and it is just amazing. We looked around the room at what other dishes folks had ordered, and they were all beautifully prepared and presented. This Mexican restaurant has all the usual favorites, but it is definitely a cut above the typical restaurant of this type.

We had scallops and mahi mahi with vegetables. We had guacamole and chips too. Great food and good service. Restaurant is bigger than it looks! I’d eat here again.

FIESTA MEXICANA

Reviewed By Bottomshelfhockey

This was our second night in Moab and we decided on Mexican and landed up at Fiesta Mexicana on this late September Tuesday. Our party of six arrived around 7:30. The restaurant was not full but relatively busy and we were seated right away.We were served complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa in my opinion was just okay and slightly on the spicy side.My spouse and I ordered the special of the day, enchiladas, one with chicken and the other beef. The specials were $10.95. • Enchilada with beef and a beef tostado served with rice and refried beans. There was 1 beef enchilada with melted cheese and the tostatdo was a taco with beef, shredded cheese, lettuce and diced tomatoes. Bland tasting dish. • Enchilada with chicken. Spouse said the chicken was dry. • House Margarita ($9.99) - 18 oz with lime juice and blue agave – large serving with lots of ice that tasted okay.Breakdown of rating: • Food quality and taste – Spouse did not enjoy meal. I thought my meal was bland (needed seasoning) and average at best. • Value vis-à-vis portion size – good value but lack of quality offsets value • Service – average service and the food arrived in an acceptable time. Server didn’t look too happy right from the start. The waterboy was personable.Overall, just an average dining experience. I would rate it a 3 out of 5.Notes & Tips: • Colourful restaurant festively decorated with bright colours • We were couples and had asked for separate bills and were told 18% automatically added. Don’t know if automatic 18% was added because we were a party of six or because the bill was split. • Next table ordered a “Molcajete” – an interesting dish of protein and vegetables served in a large mortar. Those customers appear to know what they were ordering. The term “molcajete” refers to the kitchen utensils – the mortar and pestle. • Lots of parking when we were there on the Tuesday evening. • Check website for additional information • This restaurant is one of many • We also ate at Pasta Jay’s and Moab Brewery for dinner. See my reviews. • There are a few Mexican restaurants on Main Street. • Lots of eating options on Main Street including Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Mediterranean. There is also a food truck park nearby. Grab a copy of the Moab Menu Guide for dining options. • After our drive from Bryce Canyon National Park and Goblin Valley State Park, we booked into the Hyatt Place Hotel. See my review of the hotel.
