Hidden in an unassuming strip center we were very pleasantly surprised by prompt and friendly service, pretty good Margs (only choice was frozen or on the rocks) and tasty food. What more can you ask for. Oh yes, and reasonable prices.....Be aware that the shrimp diablo is pretty raw spicy heat, but other food we had was tasty and traditional.

Good authentic Jalisco-style food with a distinctly homemade flavor, El Sombrero de Jalisco serves breakfast through dinner, with lunch specials from 11-2 pm and happy hour from 2-7 pm. Open since 2005, El Sombrero de Jalisco is family operated by Jaime M
The interior is pleasant in an eclectic way. One room is brightly lit with florescent lights and that is where they tried to seat us on a Saturday evening. We politely requested the other room and it seemed to really throw them off. The margies are super sweet - I couldn't drink it. So I requested a Corona and received a Modelo. I guess she figured as long as it was a Mexican beer.... My husband had the enchilada plate and I had the quesadilla Mexicano. Both were ok. Edible but nothing memorable at all. I would not go back.

Open since 2002 and recently renovated, La Taqueria is a family enterprise. Owned and operated by Mariano Melendez and his wife, Anjelica, the Melendez focus on fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. Here's what a recent guest had to say: "This is one o
This place has been around awhile and locals seem to like it. That said my two visits were disappointing with common denominators both times. First, the hot sauce is really bland. Second, the food is nondescript and a little on the greasy side. It seems to stay busy so maybe I missed something, but with so many other great alternatives in town, I am not sure what keeps this one thriving.

GREAT FOOD, great service. The prices are ok. The worst part of this place is the chips and salsa and they taste very god but they charge you $2.50 per basket and do not fill the basket up. They barely half way fill the basket. That was very disappointing and that would deter me from coming more often as that is my favorite part of going to mexican food places! There are 6 of us and 4 of that being kids. We spent over $12 in chips alone because they do not fill the basket.

This place a has a great downtown location. The food was mediocre. Fun atmosphere but that and the location seem to be the draw, not the food. Other local taco joints serve better fare.

We did not expect the lunch buffet, but decided to go for it. There was everything you needed to make beef or chicken fajitas, chili/cheese enchiladas, tamales, charro & retried beans and best of all.....guacamole! Best guacamole Iâve ever had & all you can eat! Buffet also comes with a variety of desserts.A very enjoyable lunch and the service is great!

This was our third time to eat at Acapulco, two visits were on Motherâs Day, 2018 and 2019. We walked in around noon and were seated immediately, the menu has many traditional dishes and great ala carte selection. Food was brought out before we finished the chips and queso, food was well prepared with good portions.

(830) 257-0606 Authentic, good service, great food, and excellent prices, make this one of the best, if not the best Mexican Restaurant in Kerrville, TX.
Please give this place a try that's north of Harper Rd light & Kerrville drag from Inn of the Hills Hotel. You won't be disappointed. Excellent service & food. Food was hot and fresh as were the tortillas which consisted of hand made corn & flour. Have patience because they do get very busy. Great outdoor view and seating as well, drive thru service! Food tasted like my grandmas in S.A.

Very good meal on a Friday night. Service was pretty decent. The meals are super good and not bad on the wallet. Coke is from Mexico (real sugar) and is served in the bottle. They will bring you a second one without asking, and then charge you for it. :( We'll know better next time. And there will be a next time.

Went there based on Trip Advisor ratings. Group of 5. I ordered the brisket plate. I would rate it as average at best. I've had more tender briskets than one served. Side dish of potato salad and beans were fine. One of group order chicken soup which was clearly homemade and considered very good. The portions were large, you won't leave hungry. If I were to return would order something else, maybe take advice of other reviews.
