Chili's Grill & Bar

Been a customer of Chili’s for some time.Again was disappointing.Panco rings were good. Wife had spicey ranch and I had honey mustard dipping sauce, both were good. Then the horrible began, wife ordered chicken fajitas and I ordered a chicken salad with lemon, lime vinaigrette sauce. Our chicken was very bland. Her chicken should have had some seasoning on it to compliment the fajitas. Like my salad no taste. Did not like the lemon, lime vinaigrette. Added some of her red sauce and it made the salad better. Her guacamole was very good.2nd time we have had a disappointing meal at Chili’s.Guess we will have to order the meals that we know are good and not order something new.Service was slow as we had to wait for the manager to validate our gift card.Prices are always reasonable. We will return.

I am from Texas although my wife is originally from Kenosha. We have had Tex-Mex, Northern New Mexico (Santa Fe and Taos areas) and authentic Mexican in many states and in Mexico. Have been to Los Taquitos two times in Dec 2014. Had Chili Rellenos, various tacos, Cecina steak plate and Alambres plates. All food quality is excellent. Variety is great also. Al Pastor, Barbacoa etc. Salsa and green/red sauces all made onsite and very good. Service both times was very good. Decor basic but place does look clean. Value is great. This is NOT Tex-Mex. if you are adventuresome and appreciate authenticity at a great value, Los Taquitos is the place for you. The owners of this restaurant deserve high praise.

If you love Mexican food, then La Hacienda is a place for you to try. They have great service and friendly waitresses. They have a variety of drinks along with both American and Mexican dishes to offer your taste buds. They are reasonable priced. After lunch or dinner enjoy a delicious dessert or drink. If you live on the South side of Kenosha, try El Sarape, which is under the same ownership. You will find the same great quality and price there too.

They opened about 35 years ago and we have enjoyed their food ever since.Wife ordered sirloin tip burrito enchilada style and I ordered the lunch special, 1 beef taco with rice and beans. Also ordered a half order of guacamole.Stopped at the counter and got some mild and hot sauce. Also picked up a couple of jalapeño peppers.Would have given it an excellent rating but the guacamole was not as good as it usually is. Could have been the avacados. As usual good food, reasonable prices and fair prices. We will return!

My wife ordered a fajita chicken salad. It was very good, but even with an excellent rating for her salad I could not give a very good or average rating for our food.I ordered a Taco Chicken Salad. I can say without a doubt that it was the most horrible tasting Taco Salad that I have ever tried to eat. My wife, after taking a bite agreed with me.Usually if 1 of us has a good meal and the other1 is not so good I will give a very good rating! Averaging between average and excellent. We have ordered from them before and the food was very good. Friends of ours eat there a lot.Who knows why my salad was terrible. Maybe the cook forgot to put some seasoningsIn the meat. I do not know. All I know is that I did not like my saladJudging by my wife’s salad we will return. I will not order the beef taco salad.Thought their prices were reasonable and service was good.

La Fe Cafe

Quaint little restaurant with a unique menu, unlike any other in Kenosha that I have seen, and very good service. The ambiance is basic and nothing to write about (it is clean). The food is not the ordinary tacos, tamales, burritos etc., although they do offer some of the aforementioned. Rather, they have dishes that seem more of what the indigenous peoples would eat. It is not as Americanized as most other places in this city. Both of our dishes were very tasty (I ordered the chicken in mesa pockets and my partner had a beef dish with cactus served in a stone bowl). Fair warning for those who like libations with dinner, they do not serve any alcoholic beverages. Essentially, we were pleased with La Fe and intend to patron it again in the near future.

They have expanded to the East. A few booths, a bar and tables with the high chairs.Looks very nice and booths are comfortable. Both of us ordered the crunchy combo, both with beef and mine without sour cream. Everything was very good and had lots of flavor. Rice and beans were great after I added a little salsa that came with the chips. Asked for some of their hot salsa and remembered from our last visit to use it sparingly or smoke would pour out my ears. All in all a good meal, great service and reasonable prices.

We really enjoyed this place. It was a lively Friday night. Service was excellent. We liked having the option of yellow rice and black beans (instead of refried beans, etc.). I had the shrimp enchiladas with mole and they were delicious. Mole can be tricky, but this was excellent. Lots of food options, fun spot, great service....what more could one want? Superb margaritas? Check!
