I wish that this restaraunt had more reviews because this place is a treasure. I had the best meal I have ever had in jacksonville here, no exxageration there, it really was that good. The staff were all nice and even the other people sitting at the bar were terrific. The place has a great atmosphere, and the food was incredible. I will definitely be coming here again.

Just be sure to check your order before you leave if its take out. Some of the newer items are better than I expected as this is my childs place of choice. My favorite are the bowl of potatoes not advertised on the menu for some reason with cheese. What does not make me love this place is that for him to be full it is nearly 12.00 not the bargain of past years but he is growing and a heavy appetite. His fav is the chalupa meal with a soft taco and large sweet tea. You could probably find a way to make this a cheap eat but it is never one for us and more than a sit down meal at a slower restaurant with chips and free salsa and usually a bit for take home.

We love this El Cerro Grande, the food is good and service is friendly. A warning though: We ate at the one on the other side of town recently, thinking it would be just as good, but I would never, ever recommend it to anyone. To start with, they messed up our entire order and we only got half of it. We had to call a waiter over to get the rest of it (not our server by the way....our waitress completly ignored us after she took our order). No one ever came to our table to offer refills on our drinks, and we had to hunt someone down to get our bill. There was an employee sitting at the bar in the front of the restaurant eating, and I had to ask her to ring us up so we could pay. Then a few hours after we left, two of us got violently sick and stayed that way through the next day. We think it was food poisioning from the guacamole (that is what we narrowed it down to because it was the only thing the two of us ate that the others didn't). So if you are going to eat at El Cerro Grande, don't get them confused: make sure you go to the one on Western Blvd because the one on Hwy 17 is horrible.

In general, I like Chipotle. I have been to several in different states. This location is not a good representation of the brand. I completely agree with some of the other reviewers. The food is mediocre, they definitely skimp on the ingredients and the flavor is not the same. Customer service is an issue at this location and the poor design leaves a lot to be desired. We visited once but, won't return.

We were excited to try this place, a friend had raved about it to us. The visual atmosphere is what we expected for a Mexican restaurant however we are still trying to figure out how hip hop music fit in. The food was alright, it definitely wasn't anything (for us at least) to write home about, the meat was lightly seasoned. The 3 taco plate was large and filling. The burritos were not at all as expected as they seemed to us to be enchiladas smothered in a large amount of sour cream. This restaurant did not have kids coloring sheets like other restaurants carry. Our waitress was out of it and airy, not sure if it was her first day or if that's just who she is. Probably won't return.

My family ate there on a June trip to the beach. It was close to the hotel we stayed at. There was a wide variety of food to choose from. I ate fish tacos which was very good, my son had nachos which he seems to enjoy and my husband had carnitas which was ok. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful and brought out a lot of different types of hot sauces when I asked about them. Watch out ... those jalepeno and salsa verde hot sauces are the hottest I've ever tried !

The people who work there are the best including the manager who agreed the food our child received had a problem (who admits that any longer?) We paid full price and our kiddo is in bed from being sick. THe chips were all broken in small pieces like some one else had them prior.Tiny little throw outs. enough that im done!
