Every thing is made house made from our salsa, chips, beans, and rice. Meats are seasoned and made in our kitchen. Authentic Mexican food
Experienced a very warm welcome on this first visit and service was fast and very friendly throughout our stay. The food was authentic and freshly prepared. Portions were generous and very tasty. Prices were very low for this quality of food. Would go to this cosy small restaurant again without hesitation.

REally enjoyed our visit to El Rancho restaurant- A fun place filled with many colorful Mexican decorations, petrified wood and happy colors. People are friendly and the food was great. Expecially enjoyed the fabulous fried ice cream- not to be missed!

We were staying in Holbrook and wanted a traditional breakfast- which we found at Joe & Aggie's Cafe. We had a warm welcome, good service and delicious food! They had a lot of choices of Arizona southwestern food, which we loved. Hope we can stop by there again one of these days.

This restaurant in Holbrook is on historic Route 66. Mr. Maestas goes all the way back to 1959.It is little quirky they sell such things as Petrified wood and Indian Jewelry up front. The dining room has all sorts of historical stuff including wacky things they hang from the ceiling including a baby carriage and a long saw blade used for cutting trees. My daughter sat under that and I made sure it was well secured as the blade edge was facing down.We didn't want Mexican food so we ordered American. I ordered shrimp knowing it wouldn't be fresh in Arizona and I was surprised how good it was. It was high quality frozen shrimp. The dinner came with several sides and they were all good. Our waitress was new but very friendly and provided good service. You pay the bill up front and there was an elderly lady which I presume was one of the owners. We also saw an elderly man sitting outside next to the parking lot drinking a beer. I presume he is the other owner. Not the less very interesting place to eat dinner in Holbrook. Don't forget to check out the Wigwam Motel and other historic places down the street.

We asked at our motel for a restaurant recommendation and were told without questions the best restaurant in Holbrook was Romo's. We ate there and loved it! Great nachos, enchiladas and tacos- and really nice friendly service. We had a great meal and a happy evening there.

Stopped for dinner after doing Painted Desert. My grilled ham and cheese was okânothing special. Onion rings were too heavily battered and fried a bit too long. Hubbyâs meatloaf was ok, but potatoes and gravy tasted like instant. His salad was fresh and crisp.
