We met for a birthday celebration after work and the happy hour was great for everyone. The selections met everyone's wants; they were able to choose from mixed drinks, wine, beer and select appetizers all at a moderate price. Our server was very attentive and never let anyone's glass get empty before she was back to check on us. Overall we were pleased with the service and drinks.

Many years ago, in the state of Jalisco in Mexico, the land was dotted with farms growing the blue agave plant-the plant crucial for making tequila. There were inns scattered among the farms, inns that had stables, restaurants, bars, and were a place wher
Took the wife and children last night. Disappointing on every level. Restrooms were sinfully disgusting. âNachoâ was chips covered in cheese. Chicken Tacos were too salty and served on a bed of sad lettuce. Rice was a plate of mush. Iced tea served with only a smattering of ice that quickly disappeared. Food and atmosphere were both a let down. Restaurant shows a lot of age. We got out around $60 with tip and weâre glad to be gone. Steer clear.
We finally ate at the newly opened El Maguey's and I wish we had eaten here earlier! I had chicken fajitas. It was a very generously portioned meal (leftovers!) and the taste was great. My wife ordered a dish called "A Little Bit of Everything" and loved it. It had a chalupa, chile relleno, taco, enchilada, tamale, rice and refried beans. It was a good way to try several items at once. She also had enough food for two meals. The staff was incredibly nice. The decor was very pleasant without being overdone. They even had a few Lupita dolls, and I have not seen Lupita dolls outside of Texas. We both loved the salsa. It did taste homemade, and tasted a little different than any of the other salsas we have had at other Mexican restaurants. It was GOOD!All in all, I would definitely recommend eating here. We will definitely be going back.

I eat here at least once a week. Always consistently good. Improved cooking times when crowded has helped alot. Good service. Getting more native English speakers.
This upstart restaurant is as close as you're going to get to an authentic Mexican restaurant in Chattanooga. My wife and I both love Mexican food despite being Gringos. This is no cookie cutterchain Mexican restaurant chain and it's Decor is still a work in progress. But these folks really know how to cook genuine Mexican food and really care about their customers. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. And oh by the way the prices are very reasonable.

If itâs fresh Mexican you want, weâve got it. Signature saucy burritos, house made salsas, wildly addictive chips, great combinations, and family specials. All made your way with toppings galore. Plus ⦠fresh-made guacamole.
We had the burrito bowl and the casadila, both steak. The bowl was shallow but the do fill it with what you want but by the time they but the other items on at room temp it's not warm when you try to eat it. They put the salsa on when you order, you can choose between three. The casadila was more refried beens than steak, which was in chunks. Sometimes when you take a bite all you get is refried beens and tortilla. We were not impressed with the food and the cost was about the same as Moe's but the food and salsa bar is better at Moe's. Next time we will just go to Moe's but now we know.Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, we appreciate the feedback. We're so sorry to hear about your experience with Salsarita's! We apologize for the temperature of the steak, this is certainly not a Salsarita's standard as we have very strict temperature requirements for all ingredients both hot and cold. We'll check in with management to ensure that all employees are following these requirements. We also train our employees to even spread out each ingredients so that every bite has a bit of whatever is on top! We hate to hear that wasnt' the case with your quesadilla, we'll follow up with this as well with out staff. Thank you for bringing this issues to our attention!

I have eaten a lot of Mexican food all over this continent. This was the worst I have ever encountered. The chili rellino was stufffed w tasteless finely ground beef and covered w a tasteless, oily, white, plastic âcheeseâSubstance. No batter. The taco was no better with the same suspect âbeefâ, tasteless cheese and anemic tomatoes. Guacamole salad and dip was awful. Salsa out of a can ( I certainly hope nobody could make fresh salsa that pulverized or as tasteless), with stale, rancid, cold chips. Cheese dip had taste, but not sure what it tasted like. A perfectly horrible meal which I strongly suspect had MSG because my stomach is very sensitive to MSG. Within 15 min of leaving the restaurant I had severe cramps and a very upset stomach. Such a shame that a great location has such an abysmal restaurant.

We eat here twice and each time was very good. I noticed the outside seating and few people enjoying a drink or two outside. The food was very good using quality ingredients. I had steak fajitas, good beans, and very god guacamole. This was clearly above the average Mexican cuisine.Everyone in our party was pleased with their choices. We obviously came back a second time within five days.

First time visiting, and wasn't disappointed. The tamales are some of the best I've ever had and the chips were very crispy. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
