La Casita Mexican Restaurant & Cantina is a local, family-owned Mexican restaurant that has been serving Sierra Vista with exceptional Mexican delicacies for the last 30 years, run by the same husband-and-wife team since its inception. We prepare all our
I wanted a pork tamale but they donât have that. Rice had no flavor whatsoever, so much sauce on everything. Not what Iâm used to-maybe this is Tex-Mex? Mexican food in California is different so ask questions about what youâre ordering to alleviate any surprises.

A friend took me there for lunch and recommended the "Reuben". Now I'm from Nebraska where the Reuben was invented (Blackstone Hotel-which the NYT recently grudgingly agreed invented it despite other pretenders. A 1930's menu was the proof-but I digress). Well, I ordered one with low expectations, to be very pleasantly surprised. It was great, full of meet, cheese and kraut). Very reasonably priced and delivered by a great server. I noted that all staff was very friendly as well. Drink refills were offered promptly. Another highlight were the Onion Rings my dining partner ordered. Fresh, hot and plentiful-way better than most I find these days. I'd recommend anyone give this place a try. Great view from the dining room as well of the golf course which I'm told includes a 700 yard par 6 hole.

There are quite a few good Mexican restaurants around Sierra Vista but, we found out today this is one of the better ones. They were busy when we arrived and the only table they was outside on the patio. It was a cool day but, we decided to try it. Our server, Patricia, brought out homemade chips and homemade salsa, which was very good and took our drink order. She came back shortly to get our order. It was a few minutes past the 2:00 pm time for the lunch but, she told us to go ahead and order from the lunch menu. So, I got the Wet Burrito w/rice and beans and my wife got the Chicken Enchiladas w/rice and beans. She returned shortly with our orders and noticed we were feeling a little chilled. She set our food down and said she would be right back. She returned in two minutes and said, "I've got a booth for you inside." She showed us where and told us to go sit down and she would bring our food. It was a big difference in temperature. My Burrito was huge and stuffed with shredded delicious chicken and smothered in sauce. It was great how it stayed hot for quite a while. The beans and rice were fresh and tasty and there was sour cream and guacamole served on the side with no extra charge. My wife really enjoyed her Enchiladas as well. They were also stuffed full with shredded chicken. The sauce and cheese that covered them helped create a very tasty dish. We really enjoyed our meals and the service was exceptional. We will return here very soon.
Marysols' Grand Kitchen is actually connected to the Bisbee Grand Hotel Saloon via a pass-through. You know you're there when you see a music stage, a red felt pool table, & a "shaft entrance". There's a little counter where we ordered, so I can't speak to whether they "wait" on you when you sit at a table. I think the confusion might put off some folks as they might assume the saloon staff are ignoring them, but from what I've seen of reviews of the Bisbee Grand Hotel under the restaurant search (where people also review the hotel, its free breakfast, the saloon, the parking lot, & Marysols), this place is rightfully favored by many--especially for breakfast. We didn't eat there for breakfast (as a complimentary hot breakfast was included with our room rate & served on the veranda of the hotel). My boys wanted burgers & I wanted tacos. I consulted a brochure put in our BGH room & found that Marysols could please each of our cravings just fine. The prices were around the $8-9 dollar range for dinner meals, which is not bad at all no matter where you are. I ordered/paid at the counter with the cook himself: cheese burgers & fries for the boys, shredded beef tacos with rice & beans for me. In short order, our cook brought out our plates & Marysol herself checked on us as well.We were VERY hungry (not drop-your-sammy-and-dust-it-off hungry, not "hangry" either), & so looking forward to our feast--which arrived quickly & was piping hot. On first inspection before we dug in, the fixings for the burgers were fresh & crisp, the fries thick; fried golden & piled high. As for my 2 tacos,I have very high standards. I immediately noticed that the corn tortillas were not prefab shells, they'd been hand fried just to the point of being crispy, not overdone so as to shatter when bitten into. The Mexican rice was traditional/authentic (it should never be too wet or too dry), the refried beans were just right, not at all like they'd been slopped out of a can.It was when we all dug into our meals that they became "excellent." We all tried bites of the others meals just to confirm it. Their cheese burgers & my tacos were exceptional! The meat was tender & seasoned so exceptionally we all talked about the flavor. The finely shredded beef in my tacos wasn't so overly sloppy that my shells got soggy, & there wasn't a trace of fat. The beans were no less delectable & the salsa was flavorful with just the right amount of subtle heat.I have never raved so deeply about such simple meals until Marysols'. We pulled both the cook & hostess for photos & to let them both know that everything about our meals was outstanding--the service & the food. They were so gracious, they both beamed with pride. So I feel I owe it to both of them to put up a review about how awesome our experience was--& to review Marysols' under its proper Trip Advisor listing. Our experience in Bisbee was so fantastic, I can't wait to revisit both the BGH & Marysols' again--especially for breakfast. Also lunch or dinner (again). Yep yep!

Why isn't this place in the trip advisor top 10?Probably because tourists, the ones who use Trip Advisor, never leave the Old Bisbee downtown. And because the locals, who love this place, don't use trippy browser. They might not want tourists to know about it.There are only seven tables. The entire staff seems to be family. I've never had a chimichanga with so much chicken in it in my entire life. The bill for the four of us today was exactly the same as for one of us in the Italian restaurant in Tucson last night.
It has no more than 8 or 10 different dishes on the menu. It's very classical Mexican food. Depending on the day they can have some event happening (it's a big area), so it can be kind of noisy.

Our Mexican-inspired menu is 100% VEGAN, changes daily, and always features soup, salads, burritos, chimichangas & quesadilla tacos. Our patio is dog friendly (on leash). Available for private events. "If you're craving something in the 'I can't believe t
So thrilled to finally be in Bisbee when Poco is open for business. Since we didn't think we would be back again soon, we ordered a lot of food!! All was perfect. Service was slow, but worth the wait.f First we split the nachos - a big plate which included some quinoa and some faux meat. Then, I had the brussel sprout chimi on the recommendation of the customer ahead of me in line. HUGE and delicious. I would have liked more of the roasted brussels but really, no complaints. DH got the tofu/roasted veggies bowl. He said it has a nice, smokey grilled taste to it. A bit larger plate would have kept the large serving from falling onto the table. We also had the french fries with spicy ketchup. Wish we could have ordered more! And all vegan, to boot - heaven!

Contessa's Cantina offers authentic Sonoran Mexican Cuisine. We have a great patio and are pet friendly. We are distinguished by our freshly made margaritas.
If you've come close to excellent Mexican moles, like in Jalisco and especially in Oaxaca, you won't go wrong ordering an entre with Contessa's mole on it. Simply outstanding. I've even special ordered the mole to take home. We've eaten at Contessa's multiple times and will return asap. The ambiance is authentic to complement the menu.

Everything about the restaurant is pretty ordinary. The food is especially unremarkable. The Carne Asada, one of the "House Specialties" consisted of a little overcooked beef (ordered medium-well, came out overly well done), and a plate full of beans and rice--that's it. The top sirloin was undercooked (ordered medium, came out rare) and some fries. The beans that were supposed to accompany the meal were not to be seen. If you're looking for a good Mexican meal, you should try elsewhere.

Since 2006, Santiago's Mexican and the Hotel San Ramon have been favorite destinations for foodies in search of scratch kitchen Mexican food. From traditional Mole and tomatillo sauces to smoked chicken and orange ancho pork tacos. Santiago's brought home
This is a very good restaurant in the heart of Bisbee serving Mexican food. The menu was large and varied. Service was prompt, very friendly, and the waiter was informative on suggestions. We had the chicken and spinach enchiladas and they were delicious. The restaurant is large, and there is a bar. Margaritas were tasty and on the large side. The prices were reasonable. And perhaps best of all, they are open during the week even in the "off season", which can be problematic in Bisbee. We would definitely eat here again.
