We love this restaurant. Service here is absolutely the best. The owner even talked with us ! The atmosphere is beautiful!. We were in town a week with friends and we ate here several times. This restaurant has been open here about 16 months. It is centrally located on the main road through San Carlos. The food is very good and even better the prices are really economical ! Refills on coffee at breakfast no charge, and ice tea refills are included at dinner !!! You will not be nickeled and dimed here ! It is a great value! Certain nights a week there is live music. Great Bar service, clean restrooms, cloth napkins and tablecloths. You will Love It!
Our sailboat is on the hard at Marina Guaymas so we ended up at Mr. Frog's, which is pretty close. The people were very friendly at this family-run place. We had excellent huevos rancheros. (They served it with a side of frijoles, which is always a plus for me.) They brewed me some coffee, and made my husband lemonade. The coffee was ok and the lemonade was exceptionally good, even for Mexico where good lemonade is a given. They specialize in seafood (yum) so we will try to go back for lunch soon.

We and other friends have enjoyed LaCobacha many times, great food, great service. We especially like the ensalada camaron, and veracruz fish, and I always have theespinaca (spinach) and crema fish fillet...Siimply delicious and always feel stuffed whenleaving... We've been there for lunches and dinners... Karen (San Carlos and Arizona)

I really like the food at this small and simple "taquerÃa". The food is excellent. All the food has to do with "cochinita pibil" which is a mexican typical food from the state of Yucatan. It is shredded pork meat with spices. The prices are excellent too!!!
Only opens from 4pm. Good basic Mexican food at a fair price. Carne Asada Tacos are the best sellers and were good. The "Papas con Queso, Crema y Carne" is very good - but rich/filling. One portion [plus a couple of tacos] will be enough for two people. Only Coke, Jugos Jamaica and Cocos. No water! Someone told us you can take your own beer but we didn't.
Try the adobada taco. Start with 2 because these are larger than typical street tacos. They also have a great melon flavored agua fresca. The habanero salsa (ask which one it is) is very good and not nearly as scalding as one would expect from a habanero. This is a bargan and a favorite of locals. Always a good indicator of good food.

This branch its similar to the one in Tijuana, but not the same. There are more options here, and it feels like more restaurant than a fast food joint (like in TJ).Ordered a taco octopus enchilado and it was almost perfect, except that it had too much garlic. Also, I ordered a jamaica, and it never came. I told the waiter and the manager heard, and offer to give the jamaica to go,complimentary.I would return to this place, there are a lot of other dishes that I wanted to try.Ps. Loved the air fans,it was very breezy,

Seafood in Northern Mexico is recognized more for their fresh seafood "cocktail" dishes rather than cooked. That being said, you can get some of both worlds here but their ceviche, tostadas, shrimp cocktails are still better than their cooked offerings. Shrimp cocktails, ceviche and crab tostadas are always good, on the other side, their marlin and shrimp tacos and their grilled octopus should be experienced with a good, cold beer.

This is part of the Armida hotel and I can't find a link on there page that talks about it. It is very good and would be helpful for others to know not staying at the hotel.
Highly recommended for dining in Guaymas. While the mounted game heads on the wall would have PETA quivering, the friendly and warm environment lends well to casual dining and fine steaks prepared to order. Rib Eye & Sirloin were served to my table and both were excellent. Expensive by Guaymas standards, but for beef lovers, it delivers.
