What a find! We never would have thought that we could be on a road trip through Tennessee and find a really good Mexican Restaurant. This one was so good! Not a fancy place, but nice and clean. It's a Mexican family who really can cook, and serve. Everything was delicious. This restaurant was not listed, so I took the time to put it in because it was that good.

Monterrey Mexican Restaurant

The Greeneville Astros came went into a rain delay,so there wasn't a lot of choice when it came to being open at 9;15 in Greenville. The Astros gift shop cashier recommended Monterrey,so we reluctantly tried it.Good news:The nachos were not bad, although they didn't come with many nacho chips.Actually, they were a lot better than they look in the picture, which is a good thing.Didn't have any Frank's hot sauce, but these pictured were not bad,I preferred the green to the red,but both were fine in a pinch.Bad news;Took a long time to get them and the side of fries we ordered took forever. The fries weren't worth the wait.Waiter was rarely seen despite not having other tables.More of a 2.5 than a 2,but certainly not worth going out of the way for.

When you go into a Mexican restaurant and many of the customers are Mexican, you know you are at the right place. La Perla has a diverse menu, I have never had anything there that was not good. One of their highlights is fresh-made guacamole. The have superb fish tacos. Go there and enjoy the food!

We have eaten at this restaurant for many years. Several years ago we would visit at least twice a week, but currently we only go occasionally. Food is consistently very good. Their cheese dip and guacamole are very good as are their grilled chicken fajitas.

Costa Del Sol is absolutely the best and non-corporate Mexican food. Prices are affordable and reasonable. They have a large restaurant with a large bar which is wasted as they only serve beer and they would make more money by serving liquor by the glass and they do need to have a large neon type sign. But Costa Del Sol is very good and worth going to.

We came here around 1:30pm. The staff seated us quickly and took our order.I had Pollo Loco and my wife had taco salad and a guacamole dip. She first asked if there were onions and/or jalapenos in the guacamole and he said there were. She said that she did not care for them on guacamole and he suggested they might be able to make a fresh one for her and that is what they did. Our server was Eugenio and he kept us supplied with chips, salsa and drinks without our having to ask. Very good positive experience.

I have been here a number of times because it is cheep and convenient to where I have to be at a certain time when I don't have time to go home to eat. It is very cheep and I like that but the food isn't very good. The salsa is probably the best part its pretty neat that there is a variety. Now I have one evening a week where I need to go out to eat cheaply but based on my destination I have a option between here and Taco Bell, I choose Taco Bell.
