We came here because we were hungry. I had the shrimp chimichangas and the Sangria. It was good. Service was very efficient despite being busy. The trio enchiladas was good, not spicy if thatâs what you want. The sopapillas with ice cream was enough to serve two. Free refills on your soda.

This restaurant has recently moved from 51 West street in Gettysburg to York Street.
In its new location, El Costeno has created a lovely garden-like patio where you can enjoy high-end Mexican dishes. Everything is fresh, and the food is better-crafted and more imaginative than "typical" Mexican restaurant. The inside restaurant is decorated in Mexican motif, but it is the outside patio that shines. When we visited, El Costeno did not have a liquor license, but allows you to Bring Your Own alcohol. Highly recommended.

Heard about this little place from a Gettysburg local. Authentic Mexican food. Restaurant is located in a little strip mall, way off the path traveled by the tourists. In other words, use your GPS to fine "37 West Street, Gettysburg". Walk in and go through the grocery shelves at the front of the store/restaurant. The menu is written in both Spanish and English and has typical standard Mexican fare. The chips and homemade salsa were a good start to the meal...I had the Chicken Fajitas. A ton of chicken and peppers/onions along with 5 flour tortillas. Unfortunately, the advertised "extras" - lettuce, Guacamole, etc was not delivered. My wife was more adventurous and ordered the Tongue Tacos. Very good choice!Prices, expecially for the "specials" are a bit high for the cuisine and area.
Where to eat American food in Gettysburg: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We eat here every time we visit Gettysburg. Food is very good, usually fast and good quantity. We had fajitas for two and had to take some home. Chips and salsa are complimentary and they keep refilling when empty.
