Things to do in Florence
Been here numerous times for just the cheese dip and chips. For under $5 you get enough to feed 3-4 people and some left over. The daily specials are always great also. BUT if you go always get the chips and dip. If you call ahead it is hot and fresh and ready to go.

I have to admit that Taco Bell is one of my guilty pleasures and I occasionally get a craving for their food (usually late at night!). Unfortunately, so does everyone else in town. The line at this one isn't as bad as the Florence Blvd. location. Service is always good and my order is correct. It is tricky getting out onto Wood Avenue afterward but worth the trip.
My family and I visited Las Trojas Cantina in the Florence Mall for a Saturday lunch visit. We were very impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of the restaurant. There were many televisions showcasing sports programming hanging from the ceiling which my son enjoyed. This is a new restaurant and it shows. The prices are about $3-$4 more than the other local Mexican restaurants but it was worth it due to the delicious food and fantastic atmosphere. My entire family enjoyed their meal and the experience. My recommendation is to go during lunch as prices are much cheaper.
Just opened in January. Had no idea what to expect until I went in an walked along a line of blank menus to be filled out with accompanying pencils. All I had to do was check off what I wanted (Steak Soft Taco in this case) check my ingredients and drink (margaritas and beer available), hand it to the cashier, pay, get a small number sign and sit at the table. It's not a buffet. They actually cook each order. Food arrives quickly. Other ingredients, such as special sauces and dips and extra chips also available on menu. Informed by the owner, who helps deliver orders and checks in with each table, that the steak taco is made with prime beef . . . and it's obvious. I recommend the garage sauce, large chips and queso.
Stopped for lunch and ordered the tacos. The food was really good, but I'd skip the brand next time as they tasted like canned chicken chili beans-they were awful. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great!
Someone suggested this place to us for a quick & tasty Mexican meal, whether dine in or takeout. Have a varied menu & there is always Taco Tuesday. We have picked up takeout numerous times & have always been pleased with our selections. Tacos, Fajitas, Chimichangas, Flautas, and more.

I love the more traditional Mexican restaurants. It's always my favorite and first choice when picking a new place to try. I found Taqueria Juarez on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try.I've now eaten here TWICE. The first time I got a Pollo azado(grilled chicken) torta. It was really good though not the BEST one I've had. We'll say in the top five. A different bread would probably change everything and move it up a notch. The next time I ate here I got four tacos, two pollo and to al pastor. All I can say is it's probably among the best tacos I've ever eaten. ingredients were fresh and first rate. Meat was PILED on each homemade tortilla. Even thought was given to the presentation as the plate looked DELICIOUS! I can't tell you when I've had better tacos! You are served complimentary chips and salsa here which is the exception for a traditional Mexican restaurant. The chips aren't warmed until you order so they arrive fresh and hot. This is an EASY recommendation for traditional Mexican food!

Casa Mexicana has been a go to restaurant for good Mexican food in Florence for over 20 years. They've remodeled in the last decade but many areas still show some wear. The food is reasonable priced although they recently increased their prices. I recommend the cheese dip, enchiladas, chalupas, tacos, and fajitas.

Rosie's Mexican Cantina is a First-Rate Mexican restaurant right smack in the middle of downtown Florence Al. It's worth going there if you are ever within 20 miles of the place. On a Saturday night it looked like a tour bus had discharged its passengers at the restaurant. We waited about 15 minutes, but it was worth every second of it.The homemade chips were so warm and tasty that we almost couldn't eat our order with it came. My wife had the fajitas and it had the shrimp tacos. Both were just what we wanted. The food was quick and flavor-filled. And of course, the free ice cream topped off a great Saturday night meal.Rosie's is a place you don't want to miss if you enjoy Mexican specialties. A quick word about our server: she was awesome. My tea glass was refilled three times and I never had to ask. Our salsa cup was replaced each time we emptied it without having to ask. A second bowl of chips replaced the empty first one right on time.Great experience all around.
