La Hacienda had been our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area --- until the renovation. We were anxiously awaiting its reopening and finally got there this past Tuesday. We were seated quickly and server came right over with the menus and asked about drinks, which was fine. However, when we looked at the menu, we could hardly read it. It had a black background with the smallest grey printing I have ever seen on a menu. I could barely read it, and my wife had to borrow my glasses to see it, and she has excellent eyesight. The food itself was tasty, but luke warm at best. My wife had enchiladas, while I had the chimichangas, which I don't think were made in house, but pre-made and just warmed up. Also, don't sit on the bar side of the restaurant: it was extremely noisy! We literally almost had to shout at each other and we were at a two person table! Will we give La Hacienda another try? YES, because we think it was the best in the area, and hope the disappointment from this visit was just a one timer

First. let me say that their participation in the airline miles dining program brought us here. Their front door is somewhat scary, like the entrance to a Speakeasy. The interior is dimly lit with a garish decor against a black ceiling. There were no prices listed on their specialty drinks menu. We ordered soft drinks and were brought a can of soda sand a bottle of Snapple; we had to ask for glasses of ice. Even though it was after lunch and there were only about 15 people present it took a long time for our entrees to arrive. It seemed even longer because no complimentary chips and salsa were provided to whet our appetites. My barely warm bland Chicken Enchiladas came on a hot plate with lots of lettuce. My spouse's Combo Fortaleza had nice seasoning although a somewhat salty flavor. The rice and beans were average. After the disappointing entrees, we skipped the $6 Flan. They have 1/2 price Happy Hour drinks and Nachos & Wings Mondays through Thursdays that would might motivate you to visit during that time. Just don't go with high expectations for other choices on the menu.

Holy frijoles! What a terrible experience at this Taco Bell. A quick bite turned into a bout of agita when trying to deal with the counter help. She got my whole order wrong then argued with me about what I ordered, insisting she was right and I, the lowly customer, was most certainly wrong. She argued with the manager, obviously telling him what a huge PIA I was being because I wanted what I paid for. The manager, to his credit, made it right, but I honestly felt sorry for the man having to put up with her attitude.If you think that fast food workers deserve $15/hr minimum wage, then the least they can do is treat the customers (without whom they would have no job) with some respect! What ever happened to: "the customer is always right"?Stay away and visit any other Taco Bell

Lunch, dinner, appetizers and drinks will please the palate. Any time of day or night you will find customers in the restaurant or at the bar. Fresh fish and homemade soups are my favorite. Family friendly too!
