This is a nice little place for a quick meal serving real Mexican food at a fair price. They have spruced up the place recently with table clothes--a nice touch.
Guacamole that is fresh, chunky, bright and delicious, served with fresh corn chips. Big time YUM! We've tried the steak, pork, shrimp and chicken tacos - all delicious! Very fresh tasting and nice staff to serve you. A few tables available for outdoor seating. A great lunch stop!
I don't know how healthy this is, but they make it fast and it is really good. The chicken burrito was great. The junior size is big enough for one person's meal; any larger than that is gratuitous.
Sunday dinner was delish here.Only four stars because there was not much translated in English.Thr two TVs were set on Spanish subtitles as well !! This is a great place to come and watch the World Soccer Championship this Summer!BYOB seems ok.Our table faced the toilet door which was awful! The roasted chicken is unevenly cooked, moist, and is marinated with smoke flavor to mimick grill flavor - some stomachs might not agree with this ingredient.I found the mac'n'cheese being very runny but kids liked it as well as side dishes as corn, mashed potatoes, rice.Relenos dish was or some lesser but I went with $2.75 taco to taste the same thing and I loved it.I asked to use the bottled avocado sos and roasted salsa sos. They have Mexican soft drinks. The place is very busy around lunch, long line ,lots of carry out orders therefore no time to explain dishes to newcomers.Since the place is a rotisserie they should make the rotisserie spits visible, not hidden in the back so that customers can see how fresh vs frozen chicken is cooked.Iwas surprised that the restaurant did not smell as chicken was cooked there! There is a disconnect and it should be addressed. Also - get rid of the fake flavoring.
There's not much I can comment on about Chipotle. Basically if you've eaten here you know it's great. It always bothers me when people say that Chipotle is not that healthy, it's high in calories, fat, carbs, etc. Let's face it, if you don't know that cheese and sour cream add a lot of fat, or that rice has a lot of carbs, you have no business commenting on diet. It's probably easier to eat healthier here than at almost any other fast food restaurant. Make good choices people. Parking downtown Elmhurst is not easy. This location has a limited, but a nice, outside seating area. As of this writing there are eighty-six restaurants in Elmhurst. I plan on eating at, and reviewing, every one. I stopped at Cilantro yesterday with 3 friends. I had an al pastor torta. My friends had tacos. Cilantro is a very clean restaurant. The food is fresh, not warmed up. My torta was delicious. Plus, it is very affordable
