Cactus Mexican Restaurant Serves Authentic Mexican Food and Provides Catering Services to the Quad Cities Area.
This is a small restaurant that has had different names in the past. Cactus has quite an extensive menu. Like many places, they bring chips and salsa to your table. Their salsa is rather spicy. You can ask for some pico de gallo instead. You will be charged for it, but itâs good. I had the carne asada tacos and it came with rice and beans. The tacos had cilantro on them and they were really good. I would definitely order it again. My husband had three different chicken enchiladas with avocado slices on top, also served with rice and beans. He liked it too. In addition to alcoholic beverages, they currently have Coca Cola products. Recommend!

Kind of fun to hear Spanish lyrics sung to the tune of Jailhouse Rock, Jambalaya, and Achy Breaky Heart (a little to loud for my tastes), jumping arrangements. Staff was super friendly, they seem to be working hard to please their customers. Cabos Cantina 2 is a casual place, booths line the outside walls, tables in center, there is a bar at the far end. TV's are visible from all seats. We were greeted with a huge serving of large, warm chips with mild salsa. Monday's special was $.99 soft shell beef or chicken tacos. Food was fine. Don't know if we will return, I hate the traffic on 53rd Street and Elmore Avenue, would be handy to Walmart shoppers though.

Two of us ate at about 8 on a weeknight. Restaurant nearly empty. Server pleasant enough, had a table in the bar, which has a nice atmosphere. Ordered the Caribbean Salad - in addiiton to chicken, lettuce, oranges and pineapple, it contains cranberries, cilantro, red peppers, and green onions. Requested that the green onion be omitted. Salad came - the cilantro, peppers, cranberries, and onions are all mixed together in a cup - this was placed on the side of the salad. Did not want to spend hours picking out the onions so I could enjoy the other three ingredients, so did without all of them. As a result, the salad was bland and tasteless. Very disappointing. When I complained about it, I received no apology, and the server really didn't acknowledge my complaint. When the bill was presented, there was a request for a donation to a charity - I find this extremely offensive. I donate to a number of causes, I don't want to be bombarded with solicitations when I eat out. In short, you can do better at a number of other places within a few blocks of this place, and they can all make a salad as the customer wishes, not simply to make preparation easier for the kitchen. I will NOT be back.

When we arrived there the line was out the door and we arrived I though past "rush hour" (7:00 PM.However the line moved quick, the service was friendly and attentive and the food as always was excellent. Might be a brand new location (Elmore Avenue) as the decor inside was different from what I have seen at other Chipotle locations.

We stopped in at Ganzos for dinner. Service was a little slow but the food was great. My burritos were some of best I've had. My wife had two tacos and she liked them. The chips were free unlike Rudy's and were really good. The only thing I didn't like about this location is the seating arrangement felt awkward. That and the bathrooms are located just inside the entrance; really awkward. If you can get past these items and enjoy the food the place is worth a visit.

My hopes were elevated when I saw what I'd hoped was going to be a good tacorita from the highway, sadly this was not the case. The staff was very friendly but the food was underwhelming, the meat choices were limited and safe. When I asked about lingua or chicharron the staff looked at me blankly. This is a family friendly, safe local but if you want authentic Mexican food look elsewhere.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Quad Cities. Best food and drinks! Best margaritas and Micheladas. Shots of tequila with every meal. Super fast and courteous friendly staff. When you are there, they treat you like family.
