Restaurant just opened May 2010. This is a new location, opened in May 2010. We went last Sunday for the first time and have been there 3x now.
This place was recommended by the Three Brothers Paddleboarding place and they were right. Great Food. Today was Taco Tuesday, Mexican style. The were very good. The salsa and chips are a must. The food is great. It is very busy because the word is out, you need to eat her.

Known for serving the freshest Tex-Mex food and world famous Smack My A** & Call Me Sally! hot sauce.
How we weren't aware of this place is mind boggling. We love good Tacos.. They've got em.. both hard and soft shell. We love good chips with Salsa, guacamole and/or queso.. they got em.. Delicious Icy Cold Sweet Tea .. Yep.. Beer .. Yep.. A huge variety of hot sauces, I believe about 24 different ones .. ah huh.. We stumbled into this place before attending a ballgame and we are now regulars before each game. They've got a great Taco Tuesday special that is hard to beat. Everything that we've tried has been excellent from the food to the prices and the service? Have they got service .. some of the very best, most helpful, well informed and courteous servers, cashiers and bartenders that we've encounter. All were so helpful, especially with so many offerings for anyone new coming in.. what a huge help. A young lady named Deena was the first to greet us first time around .. this young lady was so informative, helpful, pleasant, professional and energetic that before we even tried the food and drink we knew we were going to love this place.. This young lady is one of the Best Ambassadors that I have encountered at any place of business in years. She knows the history, the products, asks all the right questions and provides continuous follow-up to ensure the customers are happy and more than satisfied. We found that almost each and every employee that we encounter and there are many ... you don't need to go searching for any assistance here .. they are everywhere and aim to please whether you are staying on site or taking to go... Obviously I just can't say enough nice things about this place. Evidently it's been here for about 10 years, across International Blvd from the track. I've driven by it hundreds of times without stopping. From now on it will be difficult to drive by without stopping in!

Over the past 15 years I have traveled to many parts of Mexico (over 75 times mostly on business)...so I have a good idea of what tastes authentic and what does not. Reviewing the menu on line gave me a clue that this could be a pretty authentic place with Tacos de Lengua, Tacos de Tripa, Tacos de Suadero on the menu.We were a party of six and El Tequila's did not disappoint. The food was fantastic!!You don't have to be a lover of authentic food to enjoy this place; two individuals in our party are more TexMex fans and they too enjoyed their dishes (Fajitas & Enchiladas).I come to Ormond/Daytona once a year and my family will make El Tequila's an annual stop.

Stopped in after a recommendation from a friend and so glad that we did! Guacamole is on point made fresh to order, hot chips and delicious salas delivered promptly to our table. We ordered the chicken fajitas which was loaded with fresh peppers, onions and chicken! The service was a bit slow (not our server - she was awesome!) but they apologized and brought us some to die for churros that my girls devoured! Needles to say we are so happy to have a good Mexican restaurant back in Daytona!
