Got my order wrong, tried to charge me too much money. They gave me major attitude when I asked for it to be fixed. Disappointing.Once the order was corrected, the food was good. I just don't like to have a dispute over my food before I eat it. I won't be back.

Kids came down from Asheville; I'd heard that the Mesquite Grill was very good; that is an understatement: we decided it is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious and servings are reasonably priced and generous. The decor is bright and cheerful. The place is super clean. Our waiter, Alex, was cheerful and attentive without being bothersome. We love this place.

We visit this eatery every time we visit Sylva and Dillsboro. Try the Big Fat Greek crepe! The ingredients are fresh, the service is friendly, and the business' commitment to the community is evident. And the beer selection is excellent.

I expected more from this restaurant though I have no idea why. A colleague said it was fairly new. The decor is colorful and festive. The wait staff is nice and efficient and friendly. The menu can only be described as eclectic based on the usual Mexican fare. It's a very meat-centric menu (think fajitas that include chicken, steak and chorizo in one order, for example). As someone who has traveled extensively and has lived in areas of the country with authentic Mexican food and great Tex-Mex (yes, I've lived in Austin), this food is neither. It feels like an American South version of Mexican with HUGE portions (one entree could feed 2-3 people). I can't say I'm excited to return and try it again. We're sorry that you had a less than stellar experience with us. We'd like a chance to make things right so please try us again!

A group of us went to Sazon last evening where we were greeted by friendly servers and had an excellent meal. In particular, the vegetarian choices were far more interesting than one usually sees on a standard Mexican menu. The atmosphere was relaxed but not dreary; the restaurant is an enjoyable place to hang out in. I will definitely be back.
