Everything at El Molino is delicious, fresh, and authentic! Love their Carnitas - though other meats and beans are also excellent. It's hard to decide whether I love their soft tacos, pupusas, or tamales better! The Bionico is an extremely generous portion of freshly chopped and varied fruit (nothing is cut ahead - the fruits chopped for each order) with a delicious sauce (crema) with optional coconut and granola sprinkled on top. I get it to go and refrigerate the leftovers. One order easily serves two. El Molino makes their own tortillas, which are incredibly fresh. For a refreshment, you can't beat their freshly squeezed juices (oranges, carrots, beets, and celery or any other). Everything is at a remarkably affordable price and freshly assembled. The pupusa is shaped and cooked to order. You can't go wrong eating at El Molino or taking it home to eat! We come here a couple of times a week for take-out, but they have seating as well.

We found out about this place in 2014 and we come here atleast once a month, if not more. Their signature dish (for two) is the BEST and GREATEST. Its called "molcajete". It is served in a volcanic dish and has beef, chicken, onion, and cactus with the best sauce. Its not oily, greasy or anything. Its great. I even have had their burritos and its great.
Cinco De Mayo is not fancy, but you get good authentic Mexican food at a good price. You can eat in or take out, my family has also had them cater. (which was also pretty reasonably priced)Tamale $1.50Soft Taco $2.00Burrito $4.75Definetly reccomended if you are in search of a "go-to" Mexican food place.
Taqueria Los Gallos Express now has three locations, in the Concord area. This review is about the one on Clayton Road. The menu is pretty big, going way beyond tacos and burritos. The place was very busy when we were there at about 7:30 in the evening, but the food was served fast. Although there are tables and (silent) TVs, many of the orders were take-out.We ate in and had nachos, taco (beef) salad, vegetarian tacos and watermelon aqua fresco. All were fresh and tasty. Especially noteworthy was the salsa / condiments bar. They had pickled potatoes (!) along with other items rarely seen in fast food venues. As a point of interest, this outpost of Los Gallos Express is in an ancient "first generation" Taco Bell building. So, if you're curious about what Taco Bell looked like back in the day, when it started it, this building is one of the early ones. For public transportation: there is another Los Gallos Express location within walking distance of the Concord BART station. To get to the Clayton Road location, take a number 10 bus from the BART station.
Fresh and tasty tacos. Quick service with a smile. Jamaica..horchata and Pina juices offered with sodas. Also sauces and chips.

Family took us here and it really hit the spot. I'm more traditional so had tamal and beef taco plate. Awesome. Large portion size. Some had fajaitas, some had burrito with shrimp and chips and salsa was seasoned aggressively just right. Great decor and service.
Great location to get coffee or a bite to eat after a walk. Also a nice place to pick up a hamburger for Saturday Evening Concerts in the Park.
Where to eat Pub food in Clayton: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Conveniently located near the corner of Ignacio Valley Road and Clayton Road, this small restaurant serves up wonderful and inexpensive food. Although they no longer offer beer, there meal choices are extensive and authentic Mexican. In addition to their routine menu, they have a number of daily specials. You order at the counter and they serve at the table. They also have a serve yourself chip and salsa bar with three choices of salsa. Eat-in or take-out are both available.
