My first time visiting Las Trojans. Iâm impressed. My son and I shared a platter that had a T bone steak, chorizo, tilapia, bbq ribs, chicken wings, grilled onions, jalapeños, potatoes. It was amazing. Four people might finish this bad boy but we couldnât. Amazingly good.

A premier Coastal Mexican Restaurant with Birmingham's best Mexican Burgers in town. We have 18 Draft Beers on Tap, a coastal beach drink list, and friendly staff that ready to server you. Cabo Coastal Grill is your in-town beach Getaway destination resta
The hostess did not speak English. The waitress did however and the service was good. Great beans and rice combo way better than most Mexican restaurants. Everything our table ordered was above average.

The bowls are a wonderful mix of great flavors. The homemade chips are great. The brisket is also a treat. If you want a margarita, youâll be happier with the frozen rather than one thatâs on the rocks. Small glass overloaded with ice. Good service.

Although the service here was fine, the food was a disappointment. I chose this place for a friends get-together since it was central to everyone, but I wish I'd gone another direction. I noticed there was a lot of unfinished plates..as was mine. I got the enchilada dinner and was thoroughly underwhelmed. I've never had enchiladas served with no sauce, but these were. Heavy on the cheese, but actually dry and surprisingly fairly tasteless. The salsa is great, but the queso dip...not so much. For some reason there was a decided fishy undertone. Just not tasty at all. First margarita was delicious. Second was watery and bland. Carnitas tacos ere so hot (spicy) that my friend couldn't eat her second one, quesadillas came out looking dry. All in all a pretty bad experience, and I thought Superior Grill was WAY better than our experience proved it to be. I won't put up with 280 traffic to get to this place again. There are so many Mexican restaurants in Birmingham that serve much better food than this. Iguana Grill comes to mind.
Where to eat Greek food in Chelsea: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Recently visited Moe's and enjoyed the outdoor seating. There were very talented High School Students sharing their musical talent to raise money for their schools music department. They did am awesome job. The food was actually pretty good and I enjoyed it more than a more expensive Tex-Mex restaurant I recently visited.
I recently discovered the Red Shamrock Pub & Grill in what is now the new Town of Mt. Laurel, about 15 miles southeast of Birmingham, AL, off Highway 41, about 3 miles south of Hugh Daniel Blvd.On my first visit, I tried the fried mushrooms appetizer - it seemed very pricey at $7, but when the large basket arrived, my eyes went wide because there had to be about a pound of whole mushrooms in the basket! The breading was good, the mushrooms very hot and the dipping sauce exceptional. The next time, I sampled the chips & salsa. The salsa is a commercial base that the kitchen doctors up to achieve a nice bite and very tomatoey taste; the chips are mediocre and clearly from a package - I suggested that they consider at least warming them up to make them more appetizing.Other patrons ordered everything from Fish & Chips to the Molly Chicken Sandwich, and seemed very pleased. I asked about the onion rings, and was told that they are a frozen commercial product - that's why I went in the shroom direction, because they are fresh and breaded on site. They have about a dozen beers - nice variety - on tap, and also have frequent drink specials in addition to their 4-7 p.m. happy hour. The bar tenders are very friendly and attentive, especially Lee and J.J.There are plenty of TVs all around the bar, plenty of tables if you want a little more privacy, and even an upstairs room with more tables and a stage. An added special touch: there is an outdoor back patio that is more like an outdoor living room, furnished with weather-resistant couches and chairs, and even a fire pit.Parking is not an issue, and unlike many other establishments in the Birmingham suburbs, this one is open on Sundays and serves adult beverages on the "seventh day." Overall, a nice experience - and don't miss those mushrooms!!

We lived in Birmingham from 2008-2011 and frequented Don Pepeâs... It was one of our family favorites. I was back in town for one evening in July 2018 â more than 7 years later â and was excited Do. Peoeâs was still open and going strong. I dined with 2 great friends, and all 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The service was very good, and our food was served hot and fresh. The house margarita could use a bit more tequila, but again my meal was fantastic! Two thumbs up!

Three of us went for dinner last night. I decided to try their shrimp chille rellenos. It was the first time I've seen them offered with shrimp. It turned out to be a good choice. It was the best I've had in years thanks to the flavorful and zesty pepper. The rice was nice and fluffy and quite tasty, this from a guy that's not that into Mexican rice.We all enjoyed our dinners and the cheese dip too. We will return again, soon.
