we just discovered this restaurant and went back again to make sure it was that good. I have had Fajitas Tolteca twice and both times were wonderful. Spicy without being too hot. My wife had fajitas in a half pineapple once and loved it. The second time she had Tilapia fajitas which were also great. Some Mexican food is mushed together and lacks taste-not this place, we loved it. We were with several other people and everyone was well satisfied and everyone took home enough food for another meal. We will be regulars!
Walk through the doors, and get settled in at the bar or a table, you'll feel like you are worlds away. The fresh salsa is deliciously spicy (comes with free chips). The food was hot, fast, reasonably priced and nice sized portions. Staff was friendly, the small bar area has a large TV and seats about 10. Can't wait to go again; glad it's so close! (right behind Piazza Mia near the Library).

The food is tasty, especially anything that comes with queso, and the staff very friendly. The green salsa is flavorful, medium spicy. We were with a party of 5, and we each enjoyed our meals. Drinks are good, but way too much ice in the margaritas. A few cons: Parking is a challenge since the parking lot is small. Thereâs also no place to wait except the bar if they canât seat you immediately, (by law no one under 21 can sit at the bar, so they even turned away a woman who was holding her baby). The cons are minor inconveniences, and the food quality good enough that we would definitely recommend La Hacienda.

While passing through, I asked Siri for help with Restaurants in Dover....this one came up 4th on the list she gave me. SOunded good, great reviews.Place was not what I expected...It's a mom and pop takeaway joint with a number of fastfood style booths in a small building in what looked like a dodgy area. Wife and I decided to give it a shot regardless. SHe had a chicken fajita plate, which she enjoyed. I had a chicken taco, Mexican style (tasty), and a beef burrito. Other choices included beef tongue...it it was thinly sliced I might have tried it, but it is cubes, which is too chewy for me. The burrito drastically underwhelmed. Ground beef that was cooked for my order, but really had no flavor. Salsa and chips were provided. Salsa was good. hot sauce on the table had a nice kick. Soda cooler full of Mexican sodas. I had an alcohol free sangria soda (interesting), wife had tamarind. All this at $18, while not a high price, was nothing particularly cheap, either. If I lived in Dover, I might do it for lunch once in a while, but that's it.

Ordered the "tacos carne asada" while I waited the server brought chips and salsa. The salsa had fresh cilantro in it which to me is a sign of a up scale Mexican restaurant. The three tacos were filled is beef and probably one of the better "pics del gallo" I had in recent memory. I will come back.
