When we arrived I didn't think we would find a restaurant in this mostly residential neighborhood. We entered to find an absolutely beautiful decor. That's about the best thing I can say about this place. The food was only so-so. The service was friendly and adequate. This is the second Mexican restaurant in Montana that I've been to where the Mexican rice was more like Rice-a-roni. Not very authentic. My XX amber draft beer should have been colder and my wife said she couldn't taste any tequila in her margarita. We will not be going back.

Mission Style Mexican Fare served in the heart of historic Uptown Butte. Mission burritos, fish & shrimp tacos, horchata, Jarritos, kid friendly.
We spent a little over two hours walking downtown historic Butte. Found this little restaurant about half way through our walk. Very friendly staff. Had a big plate of nachos and cheese. They fixed up great. It was a large plate, enough for the two of us. Its small, but very friendly.
The restaurant is right by the Best Western. We went there for dinner. For a family of four it was under $80 and that was with drinks included in the bill. The portions were very large. No one left hungry.
I've been ordering tacoladas at El Taco for years, and they were so big that I could never finish one. I started ordering the mini, which was perfect--until last week. I could not believe the size of the portion--it was about the same size as a 38 cent burrito from Walmart's frozen section! The order of spuds was in a smaller tray than before--but the same price. Not the lunch it used to be.
