I really wanted to love this place because I love their breakfast burritos at their Brownwood location. However, our dinner was horrible.First, my niece is allergic to corn, so she has to have flour tortillas. Most places have no problems accommodating her on this, but not here! They refused to make anything different than the way it was on the menu. They had two items on the menu that used flour tortillas, so she chose one with steak and asked that the tortilla not to be fried. So they brought out two steak soft tacos. She asked for queso, but it had separated and was grainy. They brought a new bowl out, but it was just as bad. They add flour or something to save costs, and it makes it very lumpy and grainy.....and gross. I got a plain taco salad for $9. They bring out a small dinner plate with the smallest taco salad I have ever seen. They just had taco meat with iceberg lettuce pieces on top. There was one slice of tomato that had a black spoiled spot in the middle. Then there was a dollop of sour cream and a small dollop of guacamole. The guacamole had no salt and no flavor....really not good at all. I could've gone to Taco Bell for a better taco salad for half the price. Our waitress was really great tho. I felt so bad for her because she was really trying to help us be happy with our meal. But the management and kitchen were not helping at all. I hope she finds a better place to work because this place is awful!I don't know if their breakfast is as good as the one in Brownwood, but the dinner is not worth the time. I didn't even ask for a to go box because it was really not worth eating.
Terrible service, filthy restrooms, messy parking lot, dirty windows, should have turned around and walked out. Food, when finally served, was cold, greasy, boken and stale taco shells. Complained, no attempt to fix things, threw the food on the floor and left, ate elsewhere.
you go one day and the price changes from yesterday- and that because you ordered the same items....to me they look at you and they charge you what they want. they do not know what exactly they want to charge. They do not follow their menu prices. WILL NOT GO BACK. And cannot understand the owners language
Texas, United States Food Guide: 3 Pizza food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Brownwood
It seems that everything is made from scratch ( except the pies, which are Sara Lee Supreme, but very excellent ). Their menu is varied and there should be a choice for everyone. Their fajitas are really good ( they serve a fajiata taco that is only about $6.00 and it will barely fit on the plate - no grease, no fat, lots of "salad"- a real treat!! )Their prices are good, the food is always excellent, the service is sincere. I would highly recommend this place. It is a little out of the way, unless you are on your way to Lake Brownwood, but well worth it.
Some friends recommended the tacos. We got there and were excited to see a menu with lots of choices! A great variety of meats. We had the torta and burrito. The torta was on home made bread. The meat was chicken fajita. The fajita meat was a whole chicken breast and was seasoned and wonderfully cooked. The burrito was carne asada. Best carne asada ever! The staff was friendly. The only less than perfect thing were the chips...a little stale. But everything else was so good it must be rated a 5! Going back for sure.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. This is authentic homemade Mexican food. When we don't make Mexican food at home, this is our pick. We make chile rellenos and enchiladas at home from family recipes and Emilio's food is like an extension of our family. Service is excellent as well as the food and there is plenty of food served. We usually get the cheese enchiladas, tacos and chile relleno. Hubby likes refried beans and I get the barracho beans. The rellenos have beef and are large, the batter is crunchy, delicious and topped with a queso sauce. The rice is flavorful and many of the plates are served with a reasonable amount of fresh guacamole. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Where to eat Italian food in Brownwood: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Taquito Millionario on Hwy 377 has got to be my go to restaurant. I really enjoy their Chicharones burritos in the morning and Carne Guisada for lunch.Haven't got to try out the Barbarcoa yet but the Menudo on Saturday and Sunday mornings is really good. I also, like their Brisket burritos, tamales and fruit drinks. The only thing I don't like is that they have their tv tuned to Fox news other than that you're gonna want to give this place a try.

An average Mexican/ tex-mex place. We had the Mixed grille platter (had a Mexican name I forgot), which was fine, fresh and sizzling of the grill. But the guacamole made fresh at the table was excellent and makes a difference here.Staff was friendly and prompt. The interior is a very standard restaurant/ fast food place with a bar segment and a dining room.
