El Molcajete is an unassuming little taqueria on Market Street directly across from the Elm Street Station. It would be easy to miss. While the menu is not as extensive as El Primo, a mile or so up the road, it holds its own as a purveyor of authentic Puebla-style Mexican. It certainly helps to speak Spanish here (the signs for specials are not translated.) Gringos automatically get English menus, which are well translated. Also, the manager who saw us struggling to decode the various tacos immediately came to out assistance and explained the more esoteric fillings (beef head, tripe, etc.)My wife went with the more traditional carnitas for her tacos (served with house made tortillas.) I went with the special huarache â steak and cactus on a bed of refried beans and an elongated flatbread of masa. It was sprinkled with a nice queso fresco and drizzled with crema.) My wife also ordered a side of Mexican rice and beans, which were simply seasoned, but very savory. As we waited for out orders, we were served a plate of fresh tortilla chips with a thin refried bean drizzle, and red and green salsas, both of which were pretty fiery. There was also a small condiment bar with roasted hots, lime wedges, onions etc.My Agua Fresca (tamarind) was huge and fresh.. among the better ones I can recall.)Certainly worthy of a try for adventurous fans of authentic Mexican. The most expensive item on the menu is < $19. Our bill came to $25. They do accept credit cards.
El Limon is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Their tacos meats are nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. If you have a craving for Mexican dishes, check out El Limon.

Amaizing Outdoor Dining area, Gourmet Authentic Mexican cuisine served in a beautiful ambiance with a full Mezcal bar. Over 20 years!! of Mexican Tradition in Pennsylvania
We were seated in the inside dining room right away when we arrived, but nobody approached our table for at least 15 minutes, and then it was to bring only water. After another wait, we got chips and salsa and gave our order for one enchiladas camaron and one almond chicken. After about 40 minutes, we got our food. To be fair, it was very good, but by that time we had waited about an hour. On our way out, the hostess apologized for the long wait. We do not plan to return.Dera DonH.I deeply apologize for the lack of service you experienced that night at my restaurant. Found a metal wire from scrubby in my burrito. Last time I found plastic. Not going to go back they need to be more careful when prepping food. Food would have been good.

We went looking for Dawsonâs and found this place instead. While the King and Queen arenât much for Mexican food, we gave it a try. The food and service were very good. Dinner was topped off with a complimentary desert in honor of the Queenâs birthday (see picture).
Visited on a Friday night with a group of 10 and had a fantastic experience. Felt like we were dining in someone's kitchen so cozy & comfortable with outstanding service. Whole restaurant seats less than 30 so best to make ressie if going with a group. Prices ranged from $2 tacos to $15 platters. We BYOB'd but no glassware, had to use styrofoam cups. Visited this restaurant today for my daughter's birthday. The place is nice especially the ambience.Loved the table side guacamole. House margarita is good however the long island ice tea drink and stawberry margarita was a bit of a disapointment. Overall, I have had better Mexican food. We ordered chicken fajita, pollo asiago, chicken quesadilas. The chicken was little hard however the ambience is good hence would recommend this place for at least one time visit and rest depends on what you order.

The enchilada lunch special was wonderful and the burrito lunch special was likewise very tasty. Each of these platters was only $6.95 and well worth it! Our server was attentive and the environment and ambiance is very pleasant. Although it has been several years since I had been to La Michuoacana - the quality has remained high and if you are in the mood for a good Mexican meal, La Michuoacana is well worth a visit!
