Esquina is the new kid on the block in Brentwood, a part of Nashville where people hoped to live but could rarely find a good meal until the past decade. Now, the restaurants are finally moving in for those lazy evenings when we don't want to schlep the family down to Cool Springs or fight the madness of Green Hills. The cantina fits Brentwood like a glove, with upscale dishes, elegant presentation, and even USB ports at the tables in this trendy space. The chorizo queso appetizer that kicked off our meal was a scrumptious blend of cheese and Mexican sausage, accompanied by highly addictive flash-fried flour tortillas (the appetizer comes with 4 of them, but you can ask for more tortillas). And yes, they make the tortillas in house!!!I've been hooked on mole enchiladas for 30 years, a Southern Mexican dish not easily found in Tennessee. But they've got them here! Their chicken mole enchiladas come with an expertly prepared sauce and juicy chunks of chicken wrapped in their homemade tortillas. The chipotle enchiladas were just as fabulous, featuring spicy shredded chicken and a delicious tinga sauce. But Esquina Cantina goes beyond conventional Mexican cuisine. The mark of a good restaurant is one that incorporates local taste while maintaining tradition. They do just that with their impeccable Hot Chicken Taco, fusing Nashville lore with a Mexican classic. Imagine a warm, homemade tortilla surrounding ample deep-fried pieces of chicken, fried pickles, and exceptionally spicy sauce. Masterpiece!Refried beans are typically a mediocre filler in a Mexican meal, but the plump beans at Esquina Cantina are superb in their flavorful sauce! The best side dish has to be the chipotle mashed potatoes with chunks of soft potato. The cream corn elote is good too, but once you've had the elote at Mas Tacos in East Nashville, nothing else bearing this name will ever compare. I only wish I had room for the photogenic fried ice cream!!! Definitely next time!William, Thank you so much for dining with us and taking the time to leave an in-depth review. We are so happy to hear that you loved our Mexican food as much as we do! We can't wait to see you again and remember, leave a little bit of room for the fried ice cream. It's worth it. Cheers! - Kristine

New place across from the courtyard Marriott in Brentwood Tn.
The food is just ok. We get it frequently because it is easy and it has a blend of different ways to create a meal.. IE: Salad, taco's, etc.. I definitely think its better then a MOe's or CHuy's but there are a lot better Mexican places in the Brentwood/Franklin area.

We needed a "Q" restaurant for our alphabet tour of Nashville and this was the only one we could find. The staff was unfriendly, not rude, just ...not friendly, not even a smile. When we eat fast food Mexican we usually go to Chipotle and now I know why. The chicken here was under seasoned and the portions were small. Not a fan and I won't go back.We are sorry for your experience at this location. Glad we could be of service to your alphabet tour of Nashville. We wanted to let you know that all Nashville-area QDOBAâs are under new management and we hope youâll give us another try again soon.

Stopped in today for takeout and the line moved very quickly. I had a brown rice bowl with Barbados and my husband had a salad. Both were good, the medium (verde) salsa had just the right amount of heat. They frequently have promos which cuts down the price. Portion is small for 8 dollars but when you have a bogo it's just right! Very clean place.

Huge portions. Had fajita special and had 2 more meals from it. Cost was less than $9! The margarita was not that great but the food was excellent! Was a very nice, clean restaurant.

We frequent LasPalmas quite often when we visit family in Brentwood. The food and service is always good. The place is always busy, which is indicative of good food. I highly recommend Las Palmas if you're looking for good Mexican food in Brentwood. Thank you for the wonderful review! We look forward to serving you again soon!

The first thing you'll hear when you walk into the restaurant is an enthusiastic, "Welcome to Moe's! ® " It's more than just our rally cry. It embodies the entire culture. Everybody is welcome at Moe's. Except, of course, fugitives. With more than 20 incr
I've been to several of their locations and the food is always good. I prefer the Ear Muffs but the traditional burritos are good too. Lots of choices of meat and extras. There's always a special of some sort on Mondays (I've noticed that it depends on location) but it gets crowded. They have an app where you can order in advance, get loyalty points, etc. I've not tried it for ordering but I use it to scan receipts and get points. 1000 points equals a $10 coupon; 10 points per dollar spent plus a sign up bonus.

Southern-style tacos and fresh margaritas in a casual, neighborhood spot. The Local Taco brings a fun, festive, fresh approach to food with its Southern spin on tacos and other Mexican inspired cuisine and made-to-order margaritas. Established in 2009, Th
Weâve previously visited Local Taco in Lexington... pleasantly surprised to learn this location has table service. We started with chips and queso. Do it, donât think about it, just order it... outstanding. My husband had a burrito bowl and I had two tacos... one with brisket and bbq sauce - the other with blackened grouper. Everything we had was delicious. Taco shells are thin, soft flour and I know there was a gluten free option. Service was fast and friendly.

Pretty decor and very friendly prompt service. I had the pork carnitas platter, very yummy and fresh. Not impressed with the watery salsa, or the loud pub atmosphere (sports TV and high volume on the Mexican music) but would definitely go again. Reasonably priced for the area.

Weâve been here before so brought a group of 6 who had not been here. We were so excited for the experience. But....... our service was very slow. Although the restaurant wasnât full at all. We just felt ignored by our waiter. Thank goodness we werenât in a hurry since we were there over two hours! However, the manager dropped by to apologize. And the food was as good as ever, we were not in a hurry just endured some awkward silence and wondered if we were invisible or had done something to offend. No explanation was given. Weâd probably go back again.
