Decided to give this a try today, I have been driving by this place for years. I ordered a small nacho and a burrito. The burrito's are huge, the nacho's were very small for a small. The food was just ok, I actually prefer Alberto's as their chips and tortillas are freshly made.
We ate there on the recommendation of our teenaged son's friend. I was skeptical at first, but I have to admit the food was great and full of flavor. The prices were decent and service was fast. We found the burrito bowl and the salad was enough to feed 2 adults. The guacamole, salsa and chips were great for the family to share.

Arrived just before noon, weekday, and a line. Still a table for 2 was soon available. Reasonable prices, good sized menu, for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Catering... and To Go. Not fancy, basic furnishings, no blaring TV, but monitors on. Waitresses working fast. Customers in shirts and ties, gardener shirts, and just all casual attire. Good Service, Good Food.. I really liked my Breakfast Burrito, and 4 Chicken Taquitos for my friend, were served with guacamole, on lettuce. (We didn't order combo meals) No check left at table, we went to the cashier line, and she pulled out our check, read it to us, and rang it up. For the simple meals we had, we were very satisfied. At the NW corner of Kraemer and Birch, in a smallish center, about 1/2 back in. Reasonable Parking. WE WILL RETURN.

My husband and I were on Birch Street in Brea for a movie and wanted something to eat before going in. We didn't have a lot of time so we opted for Fresca's because it has endured since the opening of Birch Street. I have a hard time believing that anyone goes twice. We left full but the food was really flavorless and unremarkable. I wish I had stopped a Taco Bell for a combo burrito with green sauce and extra onions. It would have been so much better and cheaper. Don't waste your time or money here.

My family and I have been to Cabo Grill many times over the years. The restaurant has typical local eatery-type decor & the bar area is typical local bar decor, but overall, warm and friendly. The dining room is a long rectangle, with booths on the sides and tables in the center. There is a bar at one end in a semi-separate area with several TV's playing sports. It can be a little loud sometimes if you are seated near there, but we've never seen it rowdy. This arrangement makes Cabo Grill suitable for families with young children, or young singles drinking on Taco Tuesday ($1 so-so hard-shelled tacos. Inexpensive, but I think better to order from the menu). We have ordered many items on the menu, and it has always been generous portions that are good to very good (never bad). They'll start you with a free bowl of taco chips and salsa. Note that there is a help-yourself salsa bar for refills, or try any of the 3-4 other salsas there (varying degrees of hot). While my family might order fajitas, enchiladas, tostadas, etc., I always order a burrito. My favorite is the grilled chicken (I know its not very Mexican, but the grilled chicken breast slices have great flavor and it's a little healthier). Order the burrito dry and go to the above-mentioned salsa bar and smother it with a couple types. They also have a really gigantic burrito that I have ordered and finished a few times, but its not a comfortable feeling afterwards, so I advise bringing some home. (-:

Loved the food and variety at this family run place. Went for dinner mid week and service was fast and friendly. Nice selection of bottle beer chilling in ice. Food was delicious. Nice salsa bar as well. Nice sized portions at a reasonable price.I can't wait to go back to try more things from their large menu.

I went with my family to celebrate my Husband's Birthday. The first waiter we had was horrible, not friendly and came with a bad attitude. Luckily he swapped tables. The waitresses we ended up with was very friendly, although she was very clumsy. She not only spilled drinks on the table but also knocked over the chips at a separate time. What really bothered me about this event that we were over changed! First we were charged two different prices for the same drink (not a happy hour price, a .50 cent difference, wth?). Then they added an additional Queso Fundido when we simply wanted to add Chorizo. Lastly they brought my Husband a Birthday brownie that we didn't ask for and yet we were charged for, who does that?! If you go double check your bill oh and avoid the roasted chicken, it was under seasoned.

Friday night for dinner with my honey. The pomegranate margarita hair the spot. SO good! My honey had a mango, cucumber margarita. Also, SO good. It's a loud place, fun atmosphere. The food is super yummy mexican food. Surf and turf tacos with shrimp and carne asada were delicious, chicken tinga taquitos with three dipping sauces, so good! Looking forward to the next visit.

El Farolito has some of the best Mexican food in orange county CA. The prices are very reasonable as well. Joel was our server and he is fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meal and they were very accommodating in helping us with our birthday cake that we brought.
