Playa Azul Mexican Restaurant

Good to slightly above-average Mexican food, served quickly. A plate of two large chile rellenos ($9.49), with good rice and run-of-the-mill refried beans was tasty enough, though the chiles were mighty close to al dente. A nice portion of shrimp in a get-your-attention diablo sauce ($12.99) made for a filling platter. Worth a stop if you're hankering for Mexican food.

Stopped for a quick bite and ordered a couple taco burgers. I was served quick and friendly but my food was cold as ice and I had already driven across town so I just ate it and went on about my day. Other than cold the quality of food and appearance was good. Not the norm for this place so I will go back but poor rating reflects cold food.

Rancid oil. If you complain they offer a remake with same rancid oil. Bad even if going by fast food standards. Really really bad. Taco salad shells, red strips, all nasty. And since I am here complaining they shove burrito filling in segments so 3 bites sour cream, 3 bites potato, 3 bites meat. They refuse to line things up. Go to DQ.
