As an Upper Michigander from Silicon Valley, I miss those ubiquitous yummy affordable, taco restaurants' great service, shredded meat, guacamole, free chips and salsa, and margaritas. This place, that's hours from the UP, made me feel I found the way to savor San José, CA. Our server, Pollo, was no chicken when it came to service. He was part of a friendly team who bought our menus, chips, margaritas, and dinners quicker than it seemed humanly possible, all while he made us feel like we were his only customers. The food was as tasty as the best taqueria from sunny California. The atmosphere was festive and clean. Our $1.99 happy hour margaritas were equally delightful. Loved the way they provided salsa with separate small bowls in a carafe so each of us could double dip to our hearts content.

Stopped in here recently traveling up north for dinner, yes dinner. I tried the so called new shredded beef tacos, and was I in for a treat. Taco Johns shredded beef is one of the finest tasting and flavored beef any where to be found. I compare their shredded beef to any sit down restaurant anywhere around being the best out there in my opinion. Service was good as always when we visit and food freshly made and they offer numerous sauces for your additions, as toppings or dipping sauces, like chipotle, hot sauce, green sauce and more.Overall Taco Johns offers a good meal for a decent price and always freshly made.For shredded beef no doubt they have hit a home run here and can compete with the best of them.Go enjoy Snowman :O)

Taco Bell, shares this location with KFC, so you have your choices of each. We stopped here on our road trip for a quick lunch stop. Taco Bell has their value menu as well as the combos and of course we did the combos.I must say Taco bell food is the fast food for Mexican style food that a lot of us crave. We had the hard shell tacos and burrtio combos with our drinks. I like the addition of the new sauces that are offered like the mole sauce, which is definitely a good spicy sauce and some heat.Seating, they have bot booths and tables, with self serve drink bar and sauces.Overall, Good stop for the moneyEnjoy.Snowman :O)

Myself and 9 other friends went here and all reported having great food. They first brought out fresh made (still hot) chips and sauce, gringo hot (medium) and mild. We had to wait a little for our food because the cook wasn't there yet but when they brought the food out it was all very hot and tasty! I had the marinated pork enchiladas with rice and beans, it was very good. Some of the guys had the breaded chicken and also came with two soft tacos, it looked very good and the guys said it was. I will definitely be going back. The seating area is small and there is a small store in back with hard to find Mexican groceries.
