Since they started serving breakfast I go there 2-3 times a week because it is very good...Except for the Waffle Tacos, the menu items are things they serve for lunch/dinner with breakfast stuff in them...The AM Crunchwrap is a round, burrito size Griller with eggs, breakfast meat of your choice, hash browns, and cheese in it with some kind of sauce that tastes good...The Waffle Taco is best eaten there while it is still hot, and get a spork to pick up all the stuff that falls out of it...And the hot Cinnabon Delights are wonderful!

At the corner of Mulberry and Hwy 35, about a mile or two north of Hwy 35 and 288B. I have eaten there a half dozen times in the last several years. The service was good, and the food was very good. It is a good place to grab lunch, about a mile from Brazoria County Courthouse. Their specials with a variety of items gives your taste buds some fun. I did not find anything to be very spicy or too peppery, just about right for my taste but flavorful.Advantages-- Not a chain restaurant, family run, good value, good taste. It does have a "local-color" ambiance. So many of the Mex chains all taste and seem the same.Disadvantage -- Clean enough, but do not take someone there to impress them.

"The Hippo" is PACKED full of fajitas, beans, rice, potatoes, bacon, sausage, cheese and is HUGE! Also very inexpensive! And actually everything else we had from the menu was great as well.GET THERE EARLY!!! I mean early early.. because they are slammed every morning and literally run out of food! Yeah, it's that good. The people working there are also very nice and the salsa is exceptional.*Highly Recommend*

went back after about a decade, because the last time was "forgettable". This experience was great...the fajita beef was tender AND delicious. We would have liked to have more of a menu, and the shrimp was a bit small. The margaritas were good, but the beef was the bomb. We will be going back.

Taqueria El Jimador

Local restaurant in Angleton Texas.

This place has been around for a number of years and has a devoted following. The menu is a mix of TexMex and nothern Mexico. The food is authentic and tasty. The happy hour has margaritas for a couple of bucks, can't beat it. And made pretty strong. The waitstaff is on the ball but for gringos, there might be a small language comprehension problem, but can be resolved quickly. I'm not sure of the exact hours but know on weekend nights they're open pretty late for that late night snack

La Casona

We chose to sit outside because it tends to be less noisy. The 3 of us are very quiet, and We were the only ones there and they seated us in the middle table of the long porch.UNBELIEVABLY, when we were about halfway through our meal, they brought in a woman, who proceeded to set all the tables around us with party favors and door prizes and gifts, while noisy women started pouring in to what was obviously a private celebration. NO we were not included, nor did we wish to be. But we were totally surrounded. Horrible, incredibly awkward, Do they have no party room?? Was this not arranged in advance?? I guess not. Did they offer us a different location? No. I’ve never experienced such an awful situation, So embarrassing and awkward. We left in a hurry, meal unfinished.I’ll never return.
