When most people think of Zermatt, they think of one thing: The Matterhorn. This ultimate Swiss icon looms over Zermatt, first drawing visitors here in the 1860s. The village of Zermatt itself is lovely and car-free, with old-fashioned brown chalets and winding alleys. (Don’t worry, you don’t have to walk everywhere—there are electric vehicles and horse-drawn cabs.) Skiing in the region often lasts through early summer, but when the weather’s warmer, it’s a great time to hike.

In our immense «show kitchen», the preparation and cooking are live. Great American style BBQ classics are prepared with a delicious twist. Our stone oven pizza specialities with homemade dough, olive oil and tomatoes, coming directly from Italy are prepa
This restaurant has changed. Not much Swiss food on the menu, more pizza, fish and grilled meats. No live Swiss music, a DJ playing mostly techno. And it was pretty pricey. The service was great and the food was pretty good.Apparently they renovated the place, instead of a Swiss wood paneling, it was mostly glass and steel.Their web site is accurate, but the old reviews, not so much.Dear Rinej,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We have indeed renovated the entire hotel and restaurants. We have 3 restaurants and you were at The Kitchen (the main one, with our Bar)1 of our restaurants is dedicated to Swiss food "The Cheese Factory": there is no longer any live music but a very nice menu with all the specialities and local products (fondue, raclette, brasero). Typically decorated. We look forward to seeing you again to discover this restaurant, which may be more to your liking. Your sincerelyAurélie

The Pizzeria Ristorante Molino "Seilerhaus" bids you a warm welcome in the heart of Zermatt. Whether you want to enjoy a relaxing lunch, coffee and cake in the afternoon, reward yourself with a glass of wine after a day on the slopes or a wholesome dinner
The Molino is an Italian restaurant doing basically pizza and pasta. The restaurant is in Zermatt, Switzerland. The pizza and lasagne we had was very good, though overpriced. The service was average, the waiter and waitress seemed very uninterested and just went through the motions.

We used to have dinner at the factory several times per season. Unfortunately, quality has gone downhill in recent months. Especially, during our last visit we we're treated very unfriendly by our most arrogant German waitress. The quality of the food was also not up to standard but our waitress did not seem to care. I talked to the assistant chef de service about our experience. Hope they will improve but most certainly we won't be back.

For a casual meal, you can't beat Gusto Matto. We had no reservation but were happily shown to a table by the staff. Pizza and glass of wine around 30 CHF per person (not bad for Zermatt). Pizza was really delicious and the chilli oil is fabulous!

Mediterranean dishes, international style
The meal we had here was good Italian/European food, as it was off season, the restaurant was almost empty. Service was great, the front of house went over everything with us, and talked to us about wine from the area. Overall a nice meal.

The mountain lodge Fluhalp at 2606 m altitude is located in the ski or hiking area Sunegga Blauherd Rothorn. The large sun terrace with a spectacular view to the Matterhorn invites you to relax and enjoy. During the winter season (Christmas to Easter), a
We have eaten here quite a few times over the years and the food is really enjoyable. Lunches tend to merge in the memory a bit in Zermatt, but I am pretty sure we both had gnocchi with smoked salmon; our abiding memories are that it was delicious and not, by Zermatt standards, terribly expensive. It remains one of my favourite places to lunch when skiing.
