Obella Long Bay offer Mediterranean Cuisine with a blend of Turkish, Greek and Moroccan flavours. Obella Long Bay is located in the heart of newly developed Long Bay Village with direct access to Long Bay Regional Park and its beautiful beach.
We went on a very quiet wintry week night. The staff were very pleasant, attentive but not intrusive. The food was simply delicious. The menu caters for most tastes. There is out door seating that will be perfect on a summers evening. They are also open for breakfast and lunch. We are looking forward to many more future visits.

Aware of this wine bar/restaurant for a very long time, since it opened, but never had a chance to go.Ordered a seafood chowder and chicken fettuccine. The seafood chowder was a bit dilute and salty. It was very creamy and filling though.

A friend and I went to Orewa for an early dinner, and were lucky to find Kuzina. The waitress was so helpful, I should have asked her name. It is a pleasant location across from the beach. We shared a Mykonos Seafood Feast - excellent value and a great selection. We shall definitely be back

MENOPA, has three meanings: âMeâ is all about us, the team who strives to create the best dining experience to everyone; âNoâ indicates nourishing, we think that food is the most healing remedy for our body and mind; âPaâ represents pleasure, we wish our
These guys are fantastic. Their service is personable and their staff are truly delightful. We visit Menopa regularly and what comes out of the kitchen is fantastic, top notch food. Loon and the lovely ladies at Menopa are the complete opposite to the former occupants - Menopa is amazing. For starters, the flat breads are served piping hot with a variety of toppings - personal favourite is pesto. Kumara chips are also the best I have ever tasted, cooked to utter perfection. And if you cant resist dessert, you are truly in trouble - tiramisu like in Italy.Pasta is also cooked beautifully with homemade sauces full of ingredients that complement each other.Prices are more than reasonable. If you visit during the winter, there is a huge log fire to entice you in.Come on local people. Support this fantastic restaurant and forget about what used to be there.Hi Rustyharpoon,Thank you very much for your beautiful review and we are touched by your kindness. We are glad that our efforts were recognized by you. We wish to see you soon at Menopa and until then, we wish you great times ahead. Cheers!
Newly opened restaurant out in Whangaparaoa. The interior looks quite nice with the wood and the open kitchen. We came as a group so grabbed a few things to share. They have entrees, small plates and larger plates. We went with a bit from each to see what it was like. Portions were ok, some items were better portioned than the others. Like most places, the food comes as it's ready. The fish of the day (which was hapuka) looked nice but was a bit smaller portioned than the others. The lamb two ways and the Wagyu hangar were the stars of the show. The lamb, particularly the stewed one had nice flavour. But the wagyu hangar steak was amazing. Served with tomatoes and onions it was just delectable. One thing to note was that we ordered medium rare and it came out rare. I personally prefer rare so it wasn't a problem for me. I also quite liked the flavouring of the za'tar chicken but not a fan of the carrot salad. The ceviche was quite bland and dry.Desserts were quite good with the creme brulee and the chocolate fondant. The fondat was a bit bitter so ice cream would've gone down well with it if it was available. It was a nice place for dinner. The wait was a bit long but considering they just opened it wasn't too bad. The food was quite nice so once it gets going it could be a great dining option.
