Extraordinarily good food.Other than what is on the chalkboard inside the restaurant, there is no menu or wine list. The four course fixed price menu is what they are serving that day. Our first course was a delectable mixture of seared tuna, zucchini, capers, olives, lettuce, radicchio and who knows what else. The second course was a lemon, burrata ravioli in a butter sauce that was delicate and delicious. Third came a steak and potatoes with small pieces of rosemary, chives, eggplant, roasted peppers, kohlrabi and more. The dish was outstanding. For dessert we were served a delightful passion fruit mousse accompanied by passion fruit. By in large, the offered wines were Italian and reasonably priced. The four course menu was CHF 75 per person. We sat outdoors on the patio, but there is indoor seating as well. Service was very good.

Had a wonderful lunch today. Everything was great; the food, service, the wine not to mention the inside of the restaurant. Like a little trip to Italy. Easily reached via public transportation. The menu of the day was salad, choice of entree (pasta or meat) and a dessert. Wine was also chosen. Very easy and tasty. The food came fast. Great time! Get reservations. The restaurant is located above the casino and it is decorated with classic grandeur with high ceilings and chandeliers. We went without reservations and were the first guests for dinner. We were later told by the staff there that the building used to be a library. The menu was very interesting and the wines had good choices. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 mains and a bottle of French wine. The food is well plated and taste really fresh, delicious and definitely memorable (see the pictures). You have the feel that the chef takes pride in his creations. Amazing food, and great Spanish ambience! We had some of the self-serve tapas, as well as the seafood fideua, (similar to a paella, but with short thin spaghetti like noodles.) Our server, Patricia, went above and beyond, patiently explaining our meal and wine in detail, creating a fantastic dining experience! (dhanyavaad Patricia :-) Aside from some unattended toddlers running around, which are not the fault of the restaurant, we had a wonderful time. Wow! Okay, we were tired, exhausted and just wanted a light easy meal. Very hard to find in Lucerne. We headed out toward Meggan and there was very little. We headed back toward our hotel and found this little gem. From the second we walked in they couldn't be more helpful, apologizing for their poor English (it was quite good in fact) and we orderd lasagne and a tagliatelle al fungi porcini and we were both in heaven. Seriously good food with great service. If this wasn't the best pasta I've ver had it must have been very close. No, it was the best pasta I've ever had, period. Nothing flash to look at but inside they wrap their arms around you and treat you like family. Once our waiter discovered we were Australian, he couldn't be nicer. Not sure on he could have improved from his already excellent and helpful service. Just wonderful and very reasonably priced.

We had just finished visiting the Jesuitenkirche on the left bank of the Reuss River and decided to take a small break and order some desert at the Opus Restaurant which is located right next to the church with a grand view of the Reuss River and Old Town Lucerne. We sat down and it took awhile before we were served. We ordered a couple deserts which were brought out on a timely manner; the deserts were very delicious but not cheap. Probably paying for the location and view! They are a full service restaurants so we cannot vouch for how the dinners are but the deserts are tasty but expensive. The service overall from our experience was no more than average. And the view is lovely - it probably would be a great setting for an early evening dinner sitting outside viewing Old Town Lucerne.
