The restaurant is open monday to saturday only for dinner. Reservation is not required but preferred.
Went there twice during our stay in Frontera, and both times the food was excellent and cooked with love and the tasteful interior deco makes it all taste even better! We can highly recommend this restaurant!

I saw no "jackasses" there or (the other meaning in Spanish) any "brothel keeper"but just a hard-working proprietor attempting to keep up standards by excludingthose who enter wearing beach clothes or without a shirt. It is also "cash only".The comedor or dining room has space for around thirty people and there wereabout a dozen when we visited from 19.00 to 21.00 on a Thursday evening. Itappears to be a family-run business as we were served by a woman as well asby the male proprietor who was tending the bar.The attraction of this place is its proximity to Las Puntas (which has severalapartments) and to the Punta Grande hotel - which used to be the smallesthotel in the world but now is not. Contenders are in Copenhagen and Bavariabut neither is in such an invigorating spot as the area by Garanones - reachedby a slight detour off the main HI-5 road near the lower portal of the tunnel. Our meal for two with drinks came to â¬27. The menu has only starters and mains(we had ensalada and chipirones) but a surprise ending was a pot of chocolatemousse and cream as a postre/dessert. Excellent value and we much enjoyedgetting food at an early time after spending much of the day up on La Dehesaand then a dip in Charco Azul - about fifteen minutes drive away. There are noevening transport services but during the day the five services between Fronteraand Valverde stop about ten minutes walk away.
Fuimos un grupo de 40 personas y nos encantó, comida hecha con cariño, calidad superior, atendimiento profesional y precio módico...Volveremos sin duda a repetir para cualquier evento...Altamente recomendable

A taste of local cuisine, fresh seafood and plenty of international choices in a relaxing and magic atmosphere: in the cozy charmy restaurant hall or on the stunning terrace. Great food and a wonderful view!
Stopped at this beautiful spot for lunch and we were delighted. The setting is magnificent with crashing waves. We shared a lovely duck and pear salad and then ordered the prawn paella. One of the best weâve had. After the complimentary coffee granita we ordered two puddings - local pineapple with pineapple gel and pineapple foam plus delicious chocolate mouse with white chocolate slices. All absolutely yummy and the best meal weâve had in the Canary Islands. The staff were excellent and next time we hope to stay in the tiny hotel and enjoy dinner in the restaurant.

La Pinna is situated at the top ridge of El Golfo, the large volcanic crater on El Hierro. The view from the restaurant is absolutely spectacular and definately worth a view, but now I need to talk about the restaurant. The waiter was really nice and indeed we loved that view, but unfortunately, the food was very expensive and not all too amazing. For instance, my potatoes were fantastic and my tuna not so. My mum's veg was lovely and her fish not quite. Do visit, drink a coffee and eat a desert, but for true Spanish food, nahhh.
We stopped here for a late lunch and to take a break from driving. We ordered three combination plates (choice of meat + French fries + basket of decent bread for 6 euro, I believe). The chicken breasts were surprisingly tender and the chorizo was fine. Coca-Cola was a bit pricey at 2 euro. Not much in the way of ambience, but there was WiFi (the code is under the clock behind the bar) and the bathrooms were well stocked and clean, which always earns points from me!

A good Hierro cheese broth. Try out the exotic Canary cuisine with dishes such as alfonsiños fish with periwinkles, quenefas de viejas fish rissoles with limpet sauce, sea urchins, fig biscuit and Hierro cheese broth. What are you waiting for?
Wonderful location right next to the sea,you can hear the waves whilst in bed, amazing. The hotel is quaint but in keeping with El Hierro. Very clean. A car is an essential as is quite remote. Food very good perhaps a little repetitive, but very well cooked and presented. The staff wher charming and very helpful a little Spanish helps. It's a peacful place to spend a short break. Only complaint no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We would go again.

The menu is mainly meat oriented (my friend had black pig and it was very good). The quality of food is good, not outstanding though. They donât have any written menu or blackboard- the chef tells you directly what you can order- so you cannot see the prices and it creates a âdark âsensation, they can charge you on an individual basis.

La Higuera de la Abuela is a restaurant set in a beautiful garden patio planted with succulents, cacti, bougainvillea, oleander, and hibiscus. We were fortunate arriving in time to take the last outdoor unreserved table for lunch. The wait staff were friendly and helped with translations. Our meal consisted of grilled local red tuna, fried peppers, stuffed mushrooms, finishing with a very tasty tres leches dessert. Very nice!
