I am writing this review to follow on from Simon Browns review as I was sitting at this table. The restaurant came back to that review with a rude and completely untrue set of statements. When we received our meal my motherâs was lukewarm so when a waiter came pass She asked for it to be sent back. At the time we had ordered some salad so she put it on her plate to eat with her meal. After almost 15 minutes her meal finally came back. It had clearly just been microwaved, but they couldnât even be bothered to take off the small bit of salad of bread off the plate so that was also hot. After complaining about the cold food we were told that it was our mothers fault as she had been feeding her children, but I think her 14 and12 year old sons were able to feed themselves just fine. For not a great meal we found it was really overpriced. I needed to write this review as Simons review had been twisted to make the restaurant look like the victim of this bad meal. Be weary that some of the responses are probably a load of lies as the response to Simons review was disgustingly untrue. The fruit never falls far from the plant, such a father as a son. I have already responded to your previous review and have no time to waste with a kid. I have to work here ...

The two centuries years old "Mella" restaurant was taken over by Sala family in 1958. They introduced a new activity, on the Lake of Como, which offers a good link between professional lake fishing and traditional Italian cuisine. Today, Alessandro, a pro
Horrible experience. Do NOT go here! The food is really awfull. We had the full fish menu and all the dishes were 100 percent trash. I almost puked by eating the fish antipasti and the fish risotto. Just please dont mix Fish and rissoto When we got the bill they even charged us extra for switching our desserts for sorbet to tiramisu even though they agreed to do it when we ordered. When I confronted the waiter she was resistent to change the bill.

We had lunch at the restaurant yesterday. Our plan was to walk towards the ferry terminal and head to Bellagio for lunch. However walking past this place we couldnât resist the patio and the views. As per previous reviews there is a set daily menu with only one option for started main course and dessert (there is also a childrenâs menu). It would appear that the place is run by a father and son duo but I will not be surprised if itâs coordinated by mama in the background! We were greeted with complementary Prosecco and and canapé. We dined on rabbit and my daughter had Pasta in tomato sauce which was simple but delicious. A fantastic afternoon. We ended up staying and finishing the delicious bottle of wine! I canât recommend this place enough :-)

Tucked high above Lake Como at Tremezzo this is is a great local restaurant. Being late summer, dinner was served outside on multiple terraces (the front one does not have a view). Serving local style food including a cheesy polenta, all ingredients were high quality and authentic, with very generous servings.

Opening hours daily except TUESDAYS Lunch from 12.00 till 14.00 dinner from 19.00 till 22.00
My wife and adult daughter had dinner at Al Veluu our last nite after being in Lenno for a month. Wished we had found it earlier. The host and hostess couldn't have been nicer. They were sincere in making sure we enjoyed our experience with them. Seating is in the hills above the lake and was magnificent. We could see the villa we rented in the distance making it even more special for a last nite. The food was wonderfully prepared; brought out hot and served with professionalism. We thought it was a wonderful value and experience.

With polite, smart and efficient staff, this Is a cut above many similar restaurants in the area. It has nice food on a decent menu, not expensive and the house wine is pleasant. I can recommend the rhum baba dessert! And of course you can never tire of that view across the lake here.

Lovely little restaurant in old building. Have the Trout entree it was sensational. As was the apple tart. The risotto was not so exciting. A friendly authentic restaurant when you want to get away from the crazy crowds and tourist energy. Not easy to find but worth it.

The restaurant La Piazzetta is located in the heart of Argegno, and it is the result of the cohesion between tradition and innovation. Our chief aim is the satisfaction of our clientele. First and foremost, here you can find simple dishes, top-notch produ
My friend and I stopped in one evening while in Argegno for just a desert and coffee having been out that day touring Bellagio and already having a feast of a lunch. We were drawn into La Piazzeta by a gentleman who we observed throughout the hour we were there greeting visitors walking by hoping to use his charm to lure them into the establishment. We asked before hand if it was OK to just have a coffee and desert since we already had a large lunch and we were told that it would be fine. There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived. We were promptly seated outside hoping to people watch, but the large planters surrounding the outdoor seating area blocked the view of the small plaza. We proceeded to order a cuppachino, coffee americano, water and two tiramisu. PLEASE NOTE - this review is less about the quality of food served then it is about the value of what you get and their business practices. The rating of the tiramisu was a toss up...one person thought it OK the other person thought it tasted like it was a few days old. The real shocker came when the bill arrived.... 27 Euros !!! For so little food and drink I can only imagine what one would be paying for dinner !!! You better bring 100s of Euros if you donât want to end up washing dishes to pay off your debt. How can one justify a service charge of 6 Euros for two people to just sit down for basically a cup of coffee ??? Better to drive down to Como and sit out on the glorious roof top of the Como Hilton and enjoy the same, but better quality deserts , for less money along with AMAZING music and views.... and you can charge your bill !!!Thatâs right, adding insult to injury...we were informed that we could not charge the bill to our credit card because ..â the machine was brokenâ ..... please.... how old a line is this for establishments to avoid paying the small credit card fee. Why not just post a sign in front of your restaurant clearly saying.... CASH ONLY ? That way guests can decide whether to eat there BEFORE sitting down.Lastly.... I had to laugh when the bill arrived . Along with the bill there was a printed card in Italian ...which I was unable to translate but it had TripAdvisor in bold letters.....Iâm assuming it was a card encouraging guests to submit reviews ...the owner clearly understood the power of Trip Advisor in guiding customers in their dining decision. All I can say is.... look elsewhere if you seek quality dining with value pricing and service. Remember, reviews from customers who enter seeking just a coffee and desert should matter just as much as customers coming in for a three course meal.
