An Osteria (informal but stylish) based on sharing concept and quality food products (Italian, but not only).
Comfortably located in close distance between Montegrotto, Torreglia, Abano Terme and in general the Eugenian hills, this osteria is a small and easy-to-find treasure that you should not miss! During my three-week stay in the area, I have been there several times for dinner (it's open for lunch, too) and sometimes just for drinks and always much enjoyed it. Located right next to the Monte San Daniele with a generous parking lot, it provides a modern, very tasty Italian cuisine with mostly local and - I believe? - organic food and some international influences. I haven't found any similar dishes anywhere else, loved them and most of all liked their concept (similar to the Tapas idea) that I could try out various food in one dish - thus saving me the pain of deciding for one only. Whether you sit in the cozy, modern and open space rooms or take the chance to enjoy warm evenings in their quiet green garden behind the building and right next to a wineyard, the service you get reminds of a visit with friends and family. All team members involved - among which the owners - have great culinary and hospitality experience and make you feel like a welcome guest. So don't miss this wonderful experience!Thank you SO MUCH for having spent some time to leave such a long and detailed review! It will be our great pleasure to have you here again in the future and we do hope that this will happen. :-)

We were informed about this restaurant by our hotel manager. it is hidden in the spectacular landscape of the Eugenian hills. the food was tasty, obviously authentic, not expensive and good prepared. There were, however, predominantly tourists, just 2 Italian couples were eating dinner. a very old Wisteria on the entrance, makes the impression of this nice restaurant complete. Good service, no WiFi however..

The Trattoria traces back guests to 1609 when Galileo Galilee stayed here, followed by other famous guests. Italian menu with English speaking service. Selection of home made antipasti, good risotto and perfect Tagliate. No space for dessert, maybe next time. Limited, but correct vine selection including my favorite vines from the South. Should come back...

The setting is lovely, the dining rooms lovely , the waiters happy , professional and helpful. BUT , THE FOOD DOES NOT MATCH THE PLACE !The pasta dishes were bland and tasteless . The stuffed zucchini flowers with porcini ricotta flavourless , the steak tartar machine blended and boring. The Branzino was dry , overcooked and tasteless. My friend did not eat it after two bites and the waiter did not ask her what was wrong , she is too polite to complain , but in the car going home she did. The grilled vegetables had been grilled where the fish had been , so the melanzane was fish flavoured , not good , not good. This restaurant needs a good cook , a new chef , someone with standards good enough to match the dining room presentation. There were also only about twenty diners here on a saturday night , when those that were not closed for vacation were fully booked out. What does that tell you. I just think it was a shame ....

The restaurant is "hidden" in a small side road near Abano and Montegrotto the two main spa area near Padova, you definitely to have a car and a GPS or be an "insider" to reach it. Nevertheless the search is worth the effort. The restaurant is quite large and very well furnished. The staff is definitely helpful, smiling, attentive and ready to advise. The menu is more or less divided half/half in meat and seafood dishes and it features some old classics like "polenta e schie" together with new and more modern proposals all of them quite interesting. The strong point, never the less , is the choice of wines. The list is definitely long and also features some good bottles coming from the near by Colli Euganei. One antipasto and either one primo piatto or secondo piatto with half a bottle of a good wine and dessert will take the final bill to about 40⬠per person, definitely not too expensive and anyway coherent to the good quality of the over all experience. Enjoy! And in case you have a little bit...gone too far in tasting the wines...no worries, in the same building there is Hotel Diana! Get a room and sleep on your dinner!

Stylish and elegant, the restaurant is located at the center of a large garden with colorful flower beds, olive trees, green lawns and a terrace with incomparable views. You can have dinner outside under cool pergolas or inside in the cozy and bright room
There are many more of the little out of the way places in Italy than one would ever find in the USA, especially with such fine dining but after a number of single lane roads getting there just from the Radisson Blu Galzignano Terme, we arrived just as they opened on the day before the start of the Easter holiday weekend. We knew we were early but we had an early flight scheduled out the next day, so we arrived at 7pm and ordered the degustation menu of four courses. But they served what I thought was an amuse bouche first of parmesan, a piece of ham quiche, and green olives; but then that was also followed by some white prosciutto (basically fat) on a small piece of toast. I believe then, the actual 4 course menu started with some salami and regular prosciutto as the appetizer/antipasti, but then there was another dish of purple potatoes with asparagus which was so tasty but we were starting to fill up when we realized that the next dish was the pasta dish/primi platti of ribbon thin tagliatelle of nettles in green with a white meat sauce. Even though we swore to not eat it all to try and save room for the rest, we gobbled this down entirely. The main dish was duck served with a recipe that was over 500 years old but we could only eat half of what was on our plates in order to save a little room for dessert, which was a hazelnut/almond tart with hazelnut ice cream. My goodness, it was all so good and the helpings weren't necessarily American sized portions but there was just too much and all for 50⬠per person. Wow. I had to use my limited Italian and French as the wait staff might have one person fluent in English but that was fine as it added to the entire environment. How better to get out of your comfort zone than to use some guesswork to figure out your next dish? We'll have to go again!

Stopped in for lunch while en route from Padova to Lake Garda. We only wanted a light-ish lunch, so pasta was the idea. We've had many pasta dishes in Italy, where we've visited about 20 times, that have ranged from average to excellent, but we've never had anything to match this. These are not your standard pastas, but individual recipes that we've never seen replicated anywhere else. My wife and I chose different dishes, and we both agreed, these were the best pasta dishes we've ever had.The owner was very friendly and welcoming, the decor was beautiful, and these are great positives for the restaurant, but the food quality is why you must go. Sadly, because we only ate light and because we still had a distance to travel, we didn't get to sample any other dishes, but the menu promised to be very exciting.
