Things to do in Tempio Pausania
Great hidden place on a mountain with excellent food, friendly service and great food for low prices. For just â¬15 pp we had a tasting starter with cheeses, meats and delicious grilled vegetables. Then delicious lamb chops and a Sardinian stew. Too bad we were there for lunch because much food was still being prepared for the evening. But weâre definetly coming back to taste more.

Il Melograno Hotel - Ristorante - Pizzeria, is one of the finest restaurants in all of Sardinia! Just outside of Olbia, nestled amongst the beautiful cork trees in the mountains of the Gallura, in the village of Nuchis just before Tempio, is the best kept secret on the Island. The menu consists of the freshest seafood and most delicious combinations of Sardinia cuisine carefully prepared by 'Chef Claudio and his staff,' who take great care and pride in preparing and serving, an eating experience like never before! The pizza, homemade desserts, wines and Sardegna's bottled water from the face of the mountain âSmeraldina,' is by far, the best youâve ever had! "Enjoy your meal!"

We've been visiting the place on the road to fantastic ethnographic museum (!) in Lurras. It's the worst restaurant in Sardinia. Tagliatta was hard as a rock and totally lack of flavour. Tagliatelle con funghi was a glueish cheese pulp that remains me the cheese-like products available only in socialistic countries during the cold war times. Insalata mista consist of tomatoes and green salad (not precisly enough washed:() only. Never again!!

We stopped in for an early dinner at Il Mosto at the recommendation of our B&B host. We were immediately impressed with the friendly service of all the staff that attended us. They helped us choose a perfect wine and answered our questions about the menu. We tried two very unique dishes, plus appetizer, dessert, etc. We were very happy with everything! We didn't reserve a table outside, but if I were to return, I'd do it! Perfect location for a quiet dinner.

Situated at the foot of Limbara hills, in the heart of the lush Gallura and only a short distance from Tempio Pausania, you will find LâAgnata di De Andre, a magical , comfortable refuge where tranquility embraces you. Hotel LâAgnata is truly an inviting
We stayed the one night at L'Agnata and it's a lovely place. It's small very remote and everyone who works there were very lovely friendly and welcoming. We ate at the restaurant and were very impressed with the food and service from start to finish! It's a set menu which is 35 euros per person and 4 courses. That also included apperitifs outside the main house with the most spectacular views. The hosts were very welcoming and keen to chat to everyone. The food was amazing and there was so much of it. We had cured meats, cheeses, chargrilled veg, stuffed mushrooms and peppers for our first course. The most amazing pasta & potato dish, with fresh tomatos, mint, nuts & cheese for the second course. A rabbit stew for 3rd & the typical Sardinian cheese pastry dessert with honey for our final course. Some of the food above we would never of ordered from a menu, but seriously it was all amazing!I highly reckons visiting this restaurant!

When you have had enough Sauce Maltaise and Magrets de Canard, you may reach the point where you long for that honest-to-god, grand-mother prepared meal, where no surprise awaits you, but a reawakening of the simple pleasures of your youth, in your discovery of gastronomy.La Gallurese fits the bill perfectly. The owner greeted us by mentioning his wild boar in Cannonau and olives (duly ordered): perfectly cooked and wed to a magically compatible side of beans and onions. Of course, house wine.

Situated next door to the Nuraghe Majori we stopped here on impulse for lunch. Very beautiful setting with lots of ceiling fans and also a small play area for the kids made it a very enjoyable lunchtime. A few local cats were around too which amused the kids.We had the meat and cheese platters (around â¬11 to â¬15 depending on what you had). My husband also had a plate of home-cooked meats which he couldn't finish as there was simply so much of it. We also had a jug of the local white wine. The children had the local pasta which they quickly polished off.Very good indeed.

We loved Al Vecchio Corso so much that we ate there twice. A nice location on via Roma just on the outskirts of Piazza Gallura, the restaurant is cozy. Consisting of several small rooms that only sit a few tables each, the dining experience is intimate. The staff were incredible, making great suggestions on dishes and wine selections. The potato flan was otherworldly good. The curlugiones were the best I had in Sardegna, soft and covered with smoked ricotta. And did I mention the wine? Great selection. We are both vegetarians and had absolutely no challenges eating here. If you are ever in Tempio P or any nearby town for that matter, please visit Al Vecchio Corso and thank me later.Buon Giorno Christopher Tla Ringraziamo per la sua recensione, felici di avervi accontentatoun abbraccio
