Our dinner last night at New York, New York was very disappointing. We thought that the last couple of times it has not been as good and if it is under new management that certainly explains the drop in the quality of the food.The service is still top notch. The servers are without exception very pleasant and efficient and they do their upmost to ensure that you have a good dining experience, however theyâre fighting a losing battle as the food has gone downhill dramatically.I was not too hungry as we had had a good lunch, hence I did not want to share the saganaki appetizer as my husband suggested. My husband ordered moussaka for his entrée. It was okay but the moussaka used to be way better. The moussaka last evening seemed to have an abundance of eggplant and not much meat. It could have passed for a vegetarian dish. I ordered the lamb chops medium rare. I have ordered this before and the lamb chops have been perfectly cooked and very tender. The lamb chops last evening were so tough that even using the steak knife provided I had a difficult time cutting the meat. Chewing the meat was also a challenge and I knew that if I ate too much I would have a sore jaw. I returned the lamb chops and as I fortunately wasnât too hungry I suggested to my husband that he share some of his moussaka with me and we could share the appetizer saganaki. This dish was also disappointing. The cheese hadnât been cooked enough so when we had it, it was like eating cold greasy cheese. Not good. We shared an eckmek for dessert as New York, New York had always made a really good eckmek. Unfortunately this was also a huge disappointment.Itâs unfortunate the things have changed so drastically under the new management. We will not return.

We dined here with friends ad really enjoyed every aspect of the evening. The service was great, the food was excellent and the owner Brenda stopped by our table to see how everything was. We will go back for sure. Highly recommended.

Had a great experience here. The souvlaki, rice, salad, pita, all of it was so delicious and in very generous portions. Definitely glad we decided to give this place a try, we will for sure be back for more soon. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving Greek food. Our server Sam was great and all the staff were super nice.

Very busy place even mid week but we scored a table, by the window, after a very short wait. Large menu with all the usual Greek specialties. OK wine list, fairly priced. Pleasant server but obviously rushed. We both had the grilled calamari. This happens to be one of my favourite things in the whole world, but not at this restaurant. A disgrace. I was thankful I ordered just the appetizer and not the dinner! Our mains arrived fairly quickly. My lamb souvlaki was horribly over cooked to the point of being hard, dry, tasteless smallish chunks of meat. Who could tell it was lamb? My husband's lamb chops were a lot better....five chops cooked rare as ordered. We both had a mound of like warm rice and potatoes, another disappointment and a made ahead Greek salad. Very strange pita bread, too. None of these short comings seemed to bother the other diners but I've had much better Greek food plus I was looking for something other than pub grub or fish and chips, so I was hugely disappointed. We are very sorry to hear about your experience at our restaurant. We wish you would have brought this to our attention because this is not typical for us. Had we known we wouldâve rectified any problem you may have had with your food as we like our customers to leave happy.

Went with friends to do some shopping in the mall and ended up in this small Middle East oasis. Iâve been there multiple times afterwards but couldnât order anything else other than chicken shawarma. This was the first thing I tried here and just couldnât let go of the taste.
