Really nice and unexpected discovery in Specchia. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace in a charming garden, welcome drinks were on the house and the service super friendly and multilingual (German, English, Italian). The large choice of antipasti was very tasty - exactly what we needed. We would definitely go there again :).

We visited Casarano by chance and ended up at Valente. Absolutely beautiful from the minute we arrived. A stunning courtyard. Divine music and an organic wine. Followed by a brilliant octopus salad. Pasta from the gods and a dessert to die for. Worth every penny

Unexpected tour in the hill of Italy, found randomly in internet, offers s different kind of visit, personalized inside family business. They took the opportunity of mixed B&B, cousine based on owner skills and local products (including oil from its own production), daily nearby cites and places visits with transportation provided. I went to Otranto, Gallipoli, Lecce, Ostuni, Alberobello, Santa Maria De Leuca and a visit to pasta factory, chocolate store, wine testing, etc⦠Have interaction with Emilio and Clara (Husband and Wife), Emilios father, Pongo the dog⦠awesome week. As said a different plan (calmed) but very intense to know all Salento main spots. Also got help from Carlo an experienced guide for some visits⦠Ah, they manage Italian, Spanish and English. I got provided with mountainbikeâ¦
Un locale nuovo, accogliente e allo stesso tempo offre un'atmosfera intima. Una location diversa dal solito, ottimi aperitivi e menù creativi. Un elogio ai gestori.

Casale Sombrino in the heart of Salento is a building dating back to 1000, now restored maintaining the characteristics of an old farmhouse. Its geographical location makes it possible to achieve, in just 20 minutes, any location on the Adriatic and Ionia
We got to Casale Sombrino thanks to our GPS. We were actually looking for another place but after hours of wandering between Ruffano, Cuatropiano and Supersano we finally decided to stop for a stay at this unknown place. I´m glad we did. The owners are a lovely couple, the menu is a classic yet sophisticated view on apulian cuisine, and certainly the best we got to try on our trip. Recommended for couples.

Ristorante italiano e cocktail bar per offrire un'esperienza all'altezza delle più grandi metropoli internazionali.
Farmacia dei sani was a highlight of our trip to Puglia last year and so we returned with much anticipation. The menu is less interesting, and the portions are much smaller, resulting in a fairly expensive meal. We felt rushed through the whole dinner and came away feeling that they are riding on their reputation rather than continuing to maintain the creativity and high standard that we enjoyed so much in 2015.

We had a wonderful time at this delightful Masseria. Before dinner we were treated to a performance of Pizzica that was truly delightful. Our dinner itself was excellent, although the food was mainly vegetarian. A bit more meat would have helped. Nonetheless it was most enjoyable and we all had a great time..

We've eaten here two times, both at lunch. Although called self-service, the food you choose at the counter/buffet is served by the assistants. We found the food pretty good especially the greens and the polpettone with eggplant. Seafood risotto was ok and abundant but would have preferred less quantity but better rice quality, eg. Carnaroli or Vialone nano. They offer to re-heat some dishes at the microwave which we think is not healthy (we would rather have lukewarm food). Both times we had a small bottle of wine but only the first time were offered proper glasses, meaning we had to drink the wine from a plastic glass, like at an outdoor picnic. The setting is very basic without tablecloth of any kind and the venue was cold, not heated at all. Prices are honest.
