Two couples for restaurant week. Think they'd put their best foot forward. Here on Thursday night. We all took the three course menu. Best appy - not available tonight. Got Caesar salad - romaine with nothing special dressing. Main course - same response -best dish not available. I had Amatriciana with Sausage. sauce was ok but pasta was reheated, had the texture of kraft mac and cheese. None of us were impressed with the food. Only 7 tables occupied and it was still a bit loud. Can't imagine what a full house would be like. Other reviews rave about the food but what we all had was nothing special at all. Plenty of Italian choices in town. Probably won't be back.
I have been to many veggie places and let me tell you most of them are grass cuttings for the live stock. I went to greens and Grains with my daughter and I expected the same thing, a run of the mill place. Boy let me tell you when the food came out I was totally surprised. The portions were gigantic and the food was so fresh. Veggies dishes of all nationalities. Even if your not a vegetarian, you have to go. You will be surprised I promise, I wish they would advertise more so everyone who goes to the other unmentionables in shrewsbury could get a taste of real food. Really

We went to San Remo on New Yearâs Eve with a party of eight. We had a reservation and they were ready for us. The food was very good and service nice. However, our appetizers took 45 minutes to appear and our main courses over two hours. At that, one of them was wrong and she had to wait another 15 minutes for her dish, which was undercooked. I do not know if they were down a line chef or two, or what the issue was, but they need to work on expediting the meals.Dear John, I'm glad you enjoyed the food and service! I apologize for the wait time, we had a large influx of guests at the time you were seated - this may have been the reason for your wait situation as for this I apologize. I hope that this does not deter you from coming back, and perhaps trying something new on our menu. Thank you for your review and we hope to see you back again soon!
Can't believe I haven't come here sooner! It's excellent all around. The food is fresh and delicious with options for both vegetarians and meat lovers. The people working there are very helpful, friendly and patient to answer any and all questions. The atmosphere is perfect to sit, relax, and enjoy a well made meal. If you're looking for a new place to have a great affordable meal, look no further. This is certainly our new favorite place in the area.

We attended a college graduation party here recently and what a delightful experience. The food was phenomenal. Delicious flavors and satisfying to the palate. From unique appetizers (loved the phyllo wrapped Feta with Honey) to my wonderful roasted chicken with potatoes to the best baklava (one not made by my own hands) I have ever had out! Wait staff was attentive and courteous. The décor is also very pleasing. Wishing much success to this fine establishment! We will be back for dinner for certain.

First time here, and we will be back.First, the positives: The menu is large and varied, and there is something for everyone at every price point. More appetizers than I've ever seen, and all sound wonderful. We chose the trio of spreads (didn't notice that they apparently are not accompanied by pita bread, but can't figure out how you would eat them otherwise! and all the spreads sold singly do come with it), and the Greek meatballs, which were excellent.Entrees were also spread from inexpensive (gyros) to steak and whole fish. Had the Souvlaki and the lamb shank, both were excellent. The server wouldn't allow us to order our appetizers until the order for the meal went in; as a result, the meals came before we had finished the appetizers. Don't know if the kitchen or the server was more at fault, but the manager apologized and treated us to desserts (which were excellent!). The server was very attentive, bringing an ice bucket for our wine and fresh water frequently. The restaurant is lovely but quite noisy when fairly crowded, but the noise was of a lot of people enjoying delicious food. As I said, we will be back!
Where to eat Diner food in Shrewsbury: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We're regulars at their bar and have never had a bad experience. They make excellent cocktails, the wines are very good and no complaints about the service. But, we've never eaten there. Today, took my family for Fathers Day and ordered several tapas starters and two different paellas. The tapas were fine, but the paellas were the worst we've ever had. One paella had lamb, chorizo and chicken and its was dry as sand. The rice was burnt and most of it was stuck to the pan. The chicken was inexpensive whole thighs and wings and the skin was fatty and under cooked. Our other paella was mostly seafood and they served the lobster with claws intact but gave us nothing to break the claws. With drinks, wine and tip, our bill came to almost $500 and I ate almost nothing. When I got home, I had a sandwich. I will continue to be a bar customer and love the vibe, but the paella is simply awful and not worth the almost $40 per person they charge.

The meats in the mixed grill were very flavorful. It was served with nicely grilled vegetables and a mixture of 2 colors of rice. The baklawa fingers were hard, not flaky, and they didn't have enough syrup. We had to ask for pita bread and then asked for another piece for which we were charged extra. There was a small portion of tahini sauce that was included, but we were charged extra for extra sauce.
