This place has bona fide Italian character. Wait staff are tops ... attentive and alway smiling. The young maitre d' has a swagger, confident that his kitchen will deliver the best. For quick lunch I had the avocado salad and salmon piccata. Just perfect. The lemon sauce with the fish was spot on. Almost like being in Italy.

Great food and excellent service! We are here one evening and loved it so much that we came back a second time for our final day in Grand Cayman. The gnocci and pasta dishes are delicious. They have a nice outdoor balcony that overlooks the water. The waiters are very attentive and friendly. They use pasta straws instead of plastic for their drinks which we liked as well! Highly recommend!

Waterfront restaurant serving Venetian inspired Italian tapas, small/medium/large plates, outdoor dining, extensive selection of wine by the glass, professional and friendly service, rustic/contemporary decor, and beautiful location at the Cayman Islands
We had drinks in here on a Thursday after dinner elsewhere. The place was beautiful. It was full and the food looked good. They had inside a/c seating and outside patio seating on the water. We made reservations for Saturday night. When we arrived we were seated inside but, they had the doors next to us going out to the patio wide open. It was a big disappointment. We ordered several small plates. All were good. After dinner we went to the bar for cocktails. Bar staff was great. Nice place but, would have been a more pleasurable experience if we would have had the a/c seating we requested. Dear Pirateskully, thank you for your feedback. I'm really sorry you were seated near to the door that takes to the patio after you requested A/C indoor seating, surely a table by the corner would have been perfect for you, please accept our apologies for the misunderstanding; on a higher note we're happy you enjoyed the food and the service from the bartenders, and hope this will make you come back again.Cheers

Located in the heart of Seven Mile Beach, Tahu is a foreman of fine Spanish dining in the Cayman Islands from the esteemed Chef Nicolau Pla & Jose Ceballos. Tahu is a Spanish inspired restaurant and bar with a Caribbean twist. Featuring a tapas style menu
I've been to Tahu a few times and it just keeps getting better and better. A lot of my friends have heard about the spot and some are shocked that Cayman finally has a Spanish restaurant so I decided to write a review. Granted I love tapas - the dishes on the menu are exactly what I have eaten on travels in Spain which already tells you that it is going to be amazingly authentic. The portions are small but full of flavor and that's perfect because it means you can try multiple dishes - which is exactly what you want to do and the whole purpose of tapas. My favorites are the mushroom montadito, sticky ribs and the octopus. The patatas bravas are also great - I've had that at other places on the island and the potatoes are always too dry or really soggy but these are perfectly cooked. The tortilla is to die for and the bread is amazing - the sourdough, the bread with the pan con tomate dish, and even the free bread they bring out with olives is all so delicious. The chorizo is also done perfectly (see photo!) And I came once with a friend months ago who tried the prawns in garlic who still talks about them as one of the best things she's eaten in a long while! Everything is also presented so beautifully including the cold cuts. They have also just started a new coffee selection - the Bailey's coffee is lovely - Mike makes a great coffee, and Marlon does the best sangria on island (another favorite of my friend) their happy hour gets really lively and the place is super romantic (waiting for my boyfriend to get a night off so we can go here!!)If you are serious about tapas and want to know what a proper Spanish restaurant is about then you need to come here. Or if you have been to Spain before and want to be taken back to your travels then this is the place.Thank you so much for your kind words! We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us and another thank you for spreading the word out and we agree, we pride ourselves on being the most authentic Spanish restaurant in the Cayman Islands. We count ourselves lucky for customers like you. We look forward to working with you again in the future!
