We stayed for 5 nights and every night we looked forward to our meal. The food was fresh and delicious, we ordered the "costada" one night we got a piece of char-grilled meat with their own garden salad,absolutely delicious,very generous, and not overpriced, The last night we where the only ones left in the hotel, Pino came and asked us if we where dining in and what we would like to eat, He organised our meal, fantastic service great food.

We ended up in this restaurant, looking for a spot of lunch on a long drive through the Calabrian mountains. It has all the hallmarks of a local, very local restaurant. Extremely friendly service, modern-ish decor that would not happen in a larger town, basic food of fine quality.It's not the find of the century, not the hidden gem that would require you to make that same endless drive through the mountains, but if you happen to be making that drive it's an excellent stop-over for a hearty local-style-meal.Dear Customer, Thank you for your positive review. L approcio non stato dei migliori, locale cupo, vuoto e triste. L antipatia del cameriere non ha fatto nient altro che confermare queste lrime impressioni.Ci fanno accomodare nella prima saletta triste dicendoci che nella sala principale i tavoli erano tutti prenotati (peccato che non è mai arrivato nessuno). Servizio molto blando e cucina povera. Prendiamo come antipasto delle bruschette, misto calabrese e dei primi piatti con funghi, risultato ... portate insipide e poco gustose.

Prima Colazione D'autore!! Per iniziare bene la giornata.. per vivere un'emozione un'esperienza unica!! Solo qui potrete gustare ottimi espressi o cappuccini a regola d'arte..E prossimamente si amplia l'offerta del caffè..: troverete Specialty Coffee, verranno degustati con estrazione alternativi al metodo del caffè espresso..qui non si finisce mai di sorprendere!! Poi per il resto della giornata si offre un ottimo servizio su Aperitivo/Cocktail è pausa pranzo.. se venite a Serra San Bruno ne vale la pena fare tappa ..Poi è l'unico locale che serve il caffè Certosino un caffè dedicato alla Certosa che di una bontà unica.. vi resta solo di venire è provare tutte le specialità che il locale offre!!

La Taverna dei Borboni in Spadola is a really nice place. A fresh interior and friendly people. And of course excellent calabrian food at reasonable prices. The Mushrooms from the surrounding woods are excellent as the antipasti buffet you must not miss! Every dish we tried was really tasty and you can not go wrong here.

We had lunch here one day while visiting the monastery. The choices on the menu reflected traditional local cuisine and it was easy to order things that appealed. Service was friendly although no one spoke anything but Italian we all managed to make ourselves understood. The food was obviously cooked to order and when it came very good indeed. Pricing was extremely fair for the standards and service and I would certainly return.

I was following carefully this restaurant because we always listened a lot of nice review of it. Finally I went back to my original place and we had the opportunity to taste the delicatessens of this restaurant. Traditional chicken with all the experience and the taste of a really good Calabrian chef. We spend a lovely night and we will warmly recommend this place if you are a couple or a small group of friends who want to taste somethings specials!!! Bravo chef continua così!!!
