This small Trattoria really sets the bar a bit higher. The food was just amazing. The waitress got out of her way to explain every dish on the menu (only Italian). We were seated inside because of a thunderstorm shortly before but it was pleasant (except the steep stairs). The wine list is also good. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions of food. The location is on a hilltop, so don't forget to walk further up and enjoy the view!

I liked this place, it looks picturesque from outside even in the December fog at night. I have to say though that I didn't like the ANTIPASTO at all; all quantity, but not much quality and not at all to my taste. I was expecting salame, cold sliced deli meats etc, but I got a plate of beans, an egg flan, some sort of fatty chopped meat, polenta.... I wasn't impressed. However, things got better; the second course, which was bread, wine, filet steak, potatoes were all great. The service was fantastic and the dessert my kids had looked and tasted great. I especially liked the way they left a whole bottle of Limoncello on the table in style 'take as much as you want' (paid for two). Nice old-style touch, I appreciated that.

If you're ever in Zocca, or, well, if you're even 100km away from it, you just shouldn't miss this one. probably the best restaurant in Italy I've ever been to (and I've been to a lot of them), bruschetta with porcini mushrooms the best I've ever tried, tortellini with chestnuts out of this world, great house wine, fantastic beef tagliata, and all this in wonderful ambiance and with perfect service. An absolute must!Godmorning, thank you so much for uor review.See you soon.Osteria dal Cinon'

Ca 'Nova del Tenente is a small village situated in a panoramic position on Monteveglio hills (center part of the National Association of Wine Cities) in the first Bolognese Apennines, between the provinces of Bologna and Modena. The beautiful surrounding
We (a family of four) had dinner at Ca' Nova del Tenente and we couldn't fault it. We had a set menu which consisted of five courses. Antipasti of cold meats, cheese, home-grown tomatoes, chutneys and delicious puffed-up pastries. Then there were crepes filled with vegetables in a delicious creamy, cheesy sauce. The pasta course had two types of pasta - tortellini filled with ricotta and spinach and another shape of pasta with a Bolognese sauce. Then the meat course of fillet of pork and stuffed rolled turkey, served with roasted potatoes. Finally the dessert course, which consisted of four small portions per person of a chocolate cake, an almond cake, something similar to a Bakewell tart and a fruity ice-cream style dessert. All of this was accompanied by several bottles of water (we could have had wine or beer but hubby was driving) and followed with coffee and liqueurs. All of the food was outstanding in flavour, absolutely delicious. The hosts spoke only a smattering of English (but enough that we could understand what we were eating) and were very welcoming and friendly. For our meal we paid a total of â¬100 which we thought was exceptionally good value.Ca' Nova del Tenente is situated in a beautiful hilltop location - we arrived just as the sun was setting on our final evening in the area and we wished we had discovered it sooner so that we could have seen it in daylight.

Wonderful and romantic location, a lot of wine and very good meat ..
This place is hard to find, especially at night because there is not street lighting. Roads are very narrow and dangerous, so drive safely. It is hard to find the main entrance too, but once you are in the food is great. I tried a main course and was beyond my expectations. Many courses were unavailable though. The waitress was wearing a bit of fake smile, but the owner is very kind and weird but in a pleasant way.

We booked a table for two the day before, remembering great food from a visit a couple years ago. As we arrived a man told us if we could wait a bit and then told us all the tables in the restaurant were full, so he had to give us a table in the bar room... Well okay, if there's no other choice. As a son of owners of a restaurant this would have been completely unacceptable in our own place (which was not highbrow or anything, but as traditional as this one), if one has booked a table you keep that table for them, there's no question about this in my mind.As for the food we really liked everything, I'm leaving it to other reviewers who have done a good job to describe their (only verbal, unfortunately) menu. The bill was on the steep side for what we ate: 28⬠each for two first courses and a mixed grill shared in two, plus two coffees, desserts and water.

A must. Great service, excellent food, especially if you like truffles, mushrooms, meat, and aren't on a diet! It's a little out of the way but truly worth the drive. I'd recommend asking for a table on the terrace (great views), weather permitting. We spent â¬100 for four, and we eat!

We enjoyed a lunch at the Mastrossaso at the end of our Italian Days Food tour. The owner/chef prepared grilled meats and his kitchen staff made some wonderful pastas. The food was excellent!

We visited this restaurant on Saturday 7 November during the Tartufesta in Savigno. Because of the white truffle season and the Tartufesta we could not resist taking some home made specialties with white truffel. It was most certainly the best white truffle dish I have ever eaten. Goosebumbs all over :-)This restaurant serves traditional Bolognese cuisine, is cosy and not overpriced! Great place, we would go back whenever back in the region!

The âTrattoriaâ, was opened way back in 1934, by, Amerigo and Agnese. The âTrattoriaâ has always been a reference point in our hills. The simple cuisine, and the products from the courtyard, the hen house, the vegetable patch, the fields and woods are the
Ever wonder what a Michelin One Star could be like with reasonable prices an no pretentiousness? Give this a try. What a wonderful, small, authentic, and welcoming place. We did the tasting menu at 60E per person and it was amazing - traditional but with unique spins. And the 15E for the wine pairings was particularly good - especially at that price...plus the compulsory grappa at the end of the meal. Lovely service from Alberto and his team. We definitely will return!
