I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the Trip Advisor feed back but was so disappointed. I ordered meat made with local herbs and it turned out absolutely inedible. The meat was raw with only a few seconds on the grill which is usually not a problem for me. However - this piece of meat had so many tendons and ligaments that I was not able to chew it. I tried to chew and swallow all pieces but ended up spitting them all out. They might of course be better at pasta dishes.

Locals and tourists alike will not be disappointed in the meal or service. Try the local wine: Vino Frizzante di Bosoni. It is very light, refreshing, slightly effervescent and went well with the seafood. Dinner for ten with wine, appetizers, mains, contorni and desserts came to $360! Amazing! We were with family, so we had no trouble with the menu, but the chef speaks English. The waiters try their best too! It gets busy on a Saturday, so you may need reservations.

Had our group meal here. We had pasta, veal cutlets and tiramisu. All was very good. But the service was the qicker. The head waiter Daniel was the most amazing person I have ever seen. He was amazingly friendly and knew how to entertain the teenage students with song and dance. Great night of food and song.

Very good dinner with my family (4 adults and one kid) into this warm and typical restaurant into the historical center of Sarzana.Personnel is very gentle and prepared and here you can find a good selection of local wines (really appreciated), along with national and international labels. We tasted focaccia (as a kind of appetizer) and some dish of the day. Top place for the marinated cod with “Tropea” onions: here you cannot miss it!Desserts choice is huge and actually we tried all (I’m a cheese cake lover, good, but I would avoid the entire strawberries in it).Less than 40€/person for a complete meal and 2 bottles of wine (local red, French bubbles) it’s an excellent balance quality/price.Totally suggested the reservation and you need to be patience during rush moment: a good preparation for a lot of people needs time!Be back for sure.

This place is a gem. The food is beautiful. My wife had duck and I had steak with a red wine and shallot reduction - we loved it. The deserts were as good as our favourite restaurant at home (which has a Michelin star and is more than double the price). We went as a result of the reviews on here and are really pleased we did. It is a very short way outside the centre of Sarzana but having been to Sarzana for the last 4 years is the best food we have had. The place had rustic charm, the staff were really lovely and food was heavenly. Go - you won't regret it.

Photonic as one of the pasta dressing that you can find in the menu. Quality of the food is very high and you can find a lot of particular and special preparation. I suggest one of the bio-dynamic menu (white, black, green or cobalt) that are served following a specific food path: from vegetarian to meat, passing through fish. Very good choice of wines. The restaurant is very small, I strongly suggest a reservation. Very romantic for special occasion: the location is awesome. Personnel is very professional and prepared.

Had lunch there with my wife and one of my daughters: confirmed a very nice gastronomic experience. The risotto was an alliance of tradition and creativity, the mezzelune with freshly cut truffle were a poem and the service was friendly and welcoming.Prices are appropriate and the space under the arches allowing for a fresh breeze is a soothing pause in a hot August.

This is the best meal I've had in a long time. The chef Massimo, takes you on a culinary tour of delightful flavours all crafted together into wonderful dishes. He is passionate about what he does and this is reflected in the high quality of ingredients he selects. I recommend the mixed starter of four seafood dishes including the delicious tuna tatare and shrimp carpaccio . The other courses did not disappoint. Just make sure you leave room for one of the homemade desserts. Thanks it is a pleasure to cook for people like you.Best regards Massimo

Another very good dinner in my favourite sea-food restaurant in Sarzana historical centre.I strongly suggest the raw fish as starter, going on with a specialties called "Smoked Octopus Carbonara", an amazing experience.Reservation is suggested as well because the places are limited and always booked.Very good for special and romantic dinners.

It would be 1 star if not for the staff friendness.I was here for dinner, arranged for 20:15 (times are relevant). The restaurant offers 4 set menus, all of them have focaccia with different companion food, water and a glass of house wine:1. A cured meats and cheeses tagliere, and a veggie souffle (20 euros)2. A porcini pasta dish followed by a porcini tagliata (25 euros)3. A wild boar pasta dish followed by wild boar and polenta (20 euros)4. A mixed grilled meats meal (30 euros, min 2 people)Orders were taken at 20:30. Some focaccia appeared within minutes. I opted for the porcini set meal.Around 20:50 people who took meal 1 were served. But people who took meals 2 and 3 had to wait until 21:30 (!!!) to get their pasta. And the main courses of meals 2 and 3 were served around 22:10. Times were clearly not acceptable. But, at least for meal 2, the food itself was NOT acceptable as well, completely different from what normally meant to be (and of course, what was served was much cheaper than what expected). To be explicit:The porcini pasta was served with a sauce mainly made of smoked bacon with only tiny bits of porcini: the porcini flavour utterly lost, given the huge amount of smoked baconThe main course, advertised as a tagliata chianina with porcini, is meant to be a slab of meat at least 5 cm thick, done on charcoal, sliced in 1 cm thick slices, covered in fresh raw porcini cut in a julienne fashion: instead I got a slab of meat barely 3 cm thick unevenly cooked (and NOT on charcoal), cut in thick slabs, deadly cold (!!!), covered by slices of Parmesan cheese, and with a tablespoon of porcini sauce on a side: totally unacceptable, it is almost cheating the customer.I did look around, and the set meal 1, although fairly abundant, was also on the cheap side: some plain different cured meats, a couple of cheap spread cheeses (gorgonzola and stracchino), some anchovies: normally, a "plate of cheese" means a selection of cheeses with some peculiarities (like mountain goat cheese, cheese with herbs etc): again, what served here is far from what normally expected when a cheese plate is advertised.
