This was our first visit. As it was a national holiday there was only the a la carte menu available for lunch. The couvert consisted of bread, garlic carrots, olives and tuna mayonnaise. We both chose the prawns in garlic butter to start, which were excellent. For mains we went for grilled lamb chops and steak on a stone. The fillet steak was melt in the mouth. The staff are very friendly and gave efficient service. We were fortunate to arrive early as the restaurant soon filled up and many potential customers were turned away. We look forward to our next visit.

'Casa da Barreira' is a coffee bar and grocery located in the historic quarter of São Brás de Alportel, which operated in its yesteryear as a grocery and tavern known as 'Ti Zé Rosa da Barreira'. Besides all the normal coffee bar products, Casa da Barreir
Stopped with friends following the Garden Faire at the grounds of the nearby Costume Museum. It is a small location with a small garden area (smoking) in the rear. Staff are extremely friendly and visibly enjoy what they are doing. Three of us ordered the same open-faced toasted sandwich of goat cheese, honey, figs and walnuts, which was delicious. Desserts are home-made and also very tasty.

At Pizzeria Mamma Mia, we do everything since 1998 so that the ingredients that make up our meals are always the best quality to complement our fresh dough. We offer a full range of different pizzas, pastas and salads! Welcome!
My friends and I visited this restaurant on 8th Oct, I had been previously and knew the food was wholesome and very tasty! both girls were impressed with the service, food, sangria! and the price! The waitress was lovely and even sorted our taxi home for us. We had a lovely evening and WILL be returning in November but taking the boys next time!!

We visited this beautiful rural restaurant during a two week break and we can highly recommend it. The local councillor Marlene and her partner Miguel booked the table for us and what a excellent choice it was the food was very tasty and the service was great .

We visited this restaurant with two Portuguese friends at 8.30pm so we were rather late. However they made us very welcome and were very attentive. We had two monkfish and prawn skewers and two black pork and prawn skewers and they were excellent. tasty and well cooked. The staff interacted with us all the time and nothing was to much trouble. A fantastic evening and thank you.

Dear customers, we open just for dinners and cards not accepted. Caros clientes, abrimos só para jantares. Não aceitamos pagamento com cartão.
Without doubt this is the best restaurant in Sao Bras de Alportel and we have eaten in most. We have been here on several occasions we have never been disappointed. From the warm welcome, the menu choice, the attentive service and finally and most importantly the superb food, everything here is wonderful. The food is awesome and the presentation really does do justice to the saying "you eat with your eyes", for every plate is a work of art in itself. The flavour and food combinations work well and portion sizes do not disappoint either. The homemade pate combination offered at the start of the meal is definitely a great beginning to a super culinary experience. We had a sirloin steak - cooked exactly as requested, and the sole as main courses, both were excellent and exceptionally good value for money. The dessert offerings were equally impressive and delicious.A fine dining experience in lovely surroundings at a price that certainly won't break the bank. If you are in the area of Sao Bras de Alportel you should not miss the opportunity to dine in Ysconderijo.

Casual dining and lunch. Mediterranean and international cuisine; slow cooked food, spices and homemade sauces ...
Our villa owners recommended this fabulous restaurant to us. It is housed in a large beautifully designed building which has bags of atmosphere. The staff, especially the Austrian owner were a delight. They took time and trouble to explain and suggest. The food was exquisite! This visit was one of the highlights of our holiday

Ate dinner here on 2 occasions recently. Good experience, had saffron tagliatelle with scallops on both nights as it was so tasty. Other half had steak on both nights. Nil extra with steak apart from chips so request vegetables & potatoes if hungry. Service was good. Restaurant wasn't busy by any means on either night but ambience was relaxed nonetheless. Would eat here again

A stunning industrial style design with a lovely terrace, attached to a lifestyle and design shop, provides a great relaxed atmosphere for all dining occasions. Famed for having the best thin crust pizzas in the Algarve, we are proud to offer delicious it
Booked this restaurant as we had it recommended and tried it in March.Today we attended and had to stand in reception. Whilst stood in this area I was covered in red wine when a bottle was dropped by a customer( who shouldnât have been lifting down the bottle). The initial reaction from the receptionist seemed to be my fault for standing there.I had red wine on my top, my white jeans and my tan shoes. We were shown to our table where I was offered a dry tissue 10 minutes after the accident at our demand.Anyway that was a bad start. The food arrived less than five minutes after ordering. The course I chose came as a weird combination an escalope with spaghetti in tomato sauce and green leaf salad. The escalopes were hot the pasta was clap cold. My wife had spaghetti with aubergine etc and this was cold too. We werenât offered Parmesan etc.As we were now in poor mood we decided to leave, yes we didnât pay for the meal. But the meal didnât deserve it! Wonât return.Dear Mr PShaq, as per the email we sent you after this incident, we reiterate our apologies. As we explained, the recepcionist was flustered by the situation and trying to help out in what was an unexpected accident (a client at the reception accidently dropped a bottle of wine and the head waiter and himself were covered in wine). We are very sorry this accident spoiled your night, the manager tried his best to fix this situation by offering your meal and we also offered to pay for the dry cleaners or pay for the damaged items. It was an unfortunate situation that we tried to correct to the best of our capabilities.
