This is a cozy restaurant in the southern town of Lajes. It has an extensive menu, with many vegetarian options (which are hard to find on the islands). The food is high quality and made from fresh, local and organic ingredients. Though not as cheap as some of the other places weâve been on the Azores, the prices are very reasonable (and the portions large). One of the best choices on Flores! (Be aware that this is a cash only place!)

My roasted lamb was delicious (melted in the mouth), although the side dishes, especially the salad could have been a bit more sophisticated. Amazing sunset views, if the weather cooperates, obviously.Overall found it a bit too expensive for what it is. A 147⬠wine bottle on the menu is a bit out of context and feels like a ridiculous trap.

This is a relatively large restaurant/cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is in a lovely position overlooking the coast and serves a good range of snacks, drinks and meals. As vegetarians, we were pleased to see that there was a reasonable range of dishes meaning that we could have a choice rather than having to have the only option, which is often the case. We can recommend the delicious garlic bread, the waterfall salad and the mixed veg/rice with tofu. There are lovely walks in both directions from the restaurant - along the coast and to waterfalls so you can work off the calories!
