Big space with sea views. Can have lunch or dinner outside. Mediterranean Kitchen. Our specials are rice and fishes. We have also lounge and chill out zone.
The restaurant is very nice, young, and the owner is very kind. The menù is small, but we found everything very good. The service was excellent, and they made special meal for the kids at a very special price. Highly suggested!

We have eaten here several times over the years. Pleased to find that standards remain high. We had dinner twice, both times from the set menu of the day. The fish soup is particularly good as a starter: but every thing we chose was well cooked and good. The house wine also worthy of positive note. The room itself is a delight, old fashioned as is the couteous and professional service.Highly recommended.

Just wow! I canât believe I havenât discovered this place before, but now I have, it will be on my âmust visitâ list of places to eat in Sant Carles. We had the steak tartare which really was the best I have ever had (and Iâve had a lot). It was made with bone marrow at the table and was really delicious. We then had the tomahawk steak which was also outstanding. It was cut at the table and then you can cook it to your taste on a grill on your table. Served with yummy chimichurri sauce. Even the little potatoes were delicious. As other people have said, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We met the Argentinian couple who ran it, who clearly took care in the meat/food and were keen to provide good service. We ate in the braseria, which is a separate section to the buffet. Ok, so itâs not the most beautiful romantic setting, but the food speaks for itself. I will be rushing back - in fact, Iâm going twice in my short trip to Sant Carles and canât wait to visit again soon. Highly recommended!

Tipical food from de Delta cooked with fresh and local products; our speciality are the diferents kinds of paella and our wood grill
On arriving we were informed that the chef had the night off as she was tired. We were shown to our table at the back of the restaurant - wine menu presented and after a funny translation session we had a gorgeous bottle white and Hubbie had a beer. Not long after Angel the owner turned up - very bubbly perfect English and talked us through her menu. I opted for muscles cooked in garlic and butter - Hubbie had ham croquets - both lovely. We both had fillet steak with potato fritters, garlic mushrooms and aubergine drizzled with honey all cooked by Angel. Meal was excellent and we will definitely return again.

Letâs start with the positives. The food is amazing! The cooking is to a very high standard and, some dishes at Michelin-star level, with great presentation and some wonderfully creative cooking. For this standard of cooking the prices are reasonable. The chef, Albert Guzman, seems a thoroughly nice man, who manages to find the time to speak with his guests, which is really appreciated. However, the quality of the food is not matched by the quality of the setting and the standard of the service. The restaurant sits on the ground floor of an apartment holiday block with 6 or 7 floors above set back from and with no view of the beach. The outside tables were plastic and it was very hot. The outside lights were too bright. Inside it was cooler, but overly light and soulless â awful. The wine selection was disappointing too with odd choices that did not complement the food and no apparent expertise in helping us choose. This talented young chef deserves a better location and front of house support to match his undoubted skills.

In Delta de l'Ebre (the most impotant natural lands in de catalan litoral), there are several restaurants where you can eat nice traditional meals. But in Can Batiste you can find traditional products from the area, cooked in a very modern way. Fish, seafood, 'paella', everything is tasty. They have a large menu of wines and the service is excellent. The restaurant is not in the seafront, has not nice views from the dinning room, but it doesn't matter if you are a real foodie.

The seafood starters are incredibly fresh and abundant, and the rice was delicious as well. We had 5 starters (all seafood, all great) and a main course + dessert + wine for 25 ⬠each. The food kept coming and the staff was very nice. 100% recommend!

As per previous reviews the frontage is I inviting but once inside itâs very pleasant with a open kitchen and fresh local ingredients on the counter. We both had fillet steak, mine with foie gras and raisin sauce. Both were tender and cooked to perfection, and the foie gras was mind blowing. Followed up with excellent home made desserts from a wide selection. Friendly chef and staff too. Cannot recommend highly enough. You wonât regret it based on our experience

The "Menu Turistic" was advertised on a board outside at â¬20 per person. We hadn't booked but there was availability for a late lunch in their outside pavilion-type room with sea views. We started with a large green salad to share, served with the lightest toasted bread I've ever tasted and aioli, followed by hot steamed mussels, a seafood paella, desserts of crema catalana and "flan". Wine was included - the white, in particular, was delicious - and coffees were too.We only had two minor gripes;1. The paella arrived and was placed next to our table before we'd finished eating the mussels.2. As the menu was advertised at â¬20 and everything we had was included we were expecting the bill to be â¬40 for two but it was â¬44. IVA (tax) of 10% was added. As this is not an optional charge, why advertise it as a â¬20 menu when it costs â¬22? The meal was worth the higher price, but this practice is just irritating and unnecessary. Then when we paid by credit card the price was converted from euros to GBPs without consulting us. Not surprisingly the restaurant's bank converts at an unfavourable rate plus a commission charge, which my credit card wouldn't have done. Why do some restaurants do this without asking the customer if they want the bill converted to another currency? In the end the meal for two advertised at â¬40 costed â¬46, which wasn't what we expected.I have given this restaurant 5 stars based on the food and service (other than the mistimed paella) alone. Thanks for your evaluation, it helps us improve day by day. For our part we always charge in the currency that the client tells us. Bank commissions suffered a lot.
