We don't normally do campervans but hired one to attend an exhibition in Rome. We couldn't plan where we would stay on the way down and exhausted after pulling off the autostrada we chanced across this place. Ponte Guerro offer a gated and CCTV safe haven for truckers to park their wagons and have a separate lovely field for you park your camper in if overnighting. Do NOT be put off by this being a truck stop. This place is beautiful and a warmer welcome you could not wish for. It is spotless, warm and friendly. In spite of being a draw for motorway travellers, the restaurant is buzzing with local people too. We had some of the best food we have eaten anywhere in the world. The staff are friendly and the service was excellent in spite of the restaurant being packed. Without doubt on of the best fillet steaks I have ever eaten with a wild mushroom sauce, and awesome profiteroles! Our grappa's were on the house in the bar afterwards. In the morning we had gorgeous pastries and coffees and met Romeo the enormous black cat . Elis and Claudia have cleverly managed to create an organised smart truck and camper park and yet maintained a classy eating establishment - he even has incorporated a delicatessen of local products. I really can't fault this place, we even called back in on our way back. I very memorable stay, I think Elis is like a superman - he has his eye on the ball and makes you feel really welcome and looked after. Fantastic hosts. Thank you :)

After we visited the outstanding Luciano Pavarotti Museum, we asked the staff for a lunch suggestion. The unanimous vote was for this one. We use Google map, so felt confident driving there. It was crowded with local residents--a great signal we would have a terrific meal .His spaghetti vongolese/clam was outstanding. Fresh clams, and perfect pasta. My spinach linguini with garlic and Parmesan was the best I have had. We did not eat pastry, but were seated next to it--looked delicious .If you love the local salumeria, it was being cut to order,

This is one of the very best restaurants I have ever visited in my life. I selected the restaurants special pizza, in extra large size, which was exquisite thin crust, cooked perfectly, with a full range of local ingredients.... if there was a better word then perfect, I would use it!!! See photos! My other half also was impressed with an excellent frutti di mare!!! At truly reasonable prices. Staff were truly caring and tried to satisfy our every whim. Keep it up guys!!! Superlativo!!

We absolutely loved this restaurant, we suggest making a reso straight away, don't hesitate. We did two different tasting menus with wine pairings. This allowed us to try the different flavors. The price was very good considering the quality of both food and wine and they were very generous with the wine. If only we lived closer, we would definitely go often. TripAdvisor is bang on with the reviews, go before the waiting lists become too long!

Ok, we're English, so what do we know - but we had really lovely pizza, baked in a wood fired oven. It was thin and crisp and delicious, everything we hoped for in a proper Italian Pizza.

We have an huge parking area. air conditioning inside the restaurant. Pizza gluten free. We offer a very varied menu. We have dish with meat and fish and pizza.
We went to Caffe Grande two times while in Castelfranco Emilia , first time we had an exquisite seafood pasta , second time a very large Naples style pizza with three fillings on top which was amazing. I totally recommend this restaurant , the staff were very friendly too. I can't comment on the cost as we were taken there on business and didn't pay.

Gorgeous gem of the province of Modena where art, culture, history and tradition blend themselves handing a unique originality in its inhabitants. In the heart of this (strange) magnificent country dominates the ancient fortress of Rangoni Machiavelli wit
Ate her twice on holiday fantastic food ,friendly staff ,marvellous setting, had the fixed menu first time which was excellent , the second meal we worked off the menu and the waiters recommendation, the mixed crostini followed by the mixed grill what a fantastic experience if you are in the area it's a must to eat here.

Tipical specialities from Emilia Romagna. Tortellini and Tagliatelle, grill and balsamic vinegar. The best italian wines.
I was a huge tortellini fan as a child, so when my wife and I moved to Italy this year I jumped at the chance to try authentic Italian tortellini. After dinner in Bologna I had high expectations for La Lumira, and I was not disappointed. The tortellini in brodo was outstanding and the tortelloni zucca was even better. One of the best places I have eaten in Italy. 5 out of 5.
