Le Mas des Filles se situe à 5 minutes de Montpellier Millénaire, sur le domaine du Mas du Pont, entre vignes et chevaux dans une superbe demeure en pierre sur la commune de Le Crès.
We had lunch here on a Friday in early December. The restaurant is situated in a large stone building nestled among vineyards. The wood beams and stone walls are typical of the region, but the restaurant is decorated with quirky objects and paintings from different eras. It's a nice setting and the food is excellent. We ate from the "ardoise" the choice of two starters and main dishes was around 23 euros with a few extra euros if we had chosen desert. The starters were frogs legs (not for us) and salmon tartare. We chose the latter and especially liked the shaved fennel it was served with and the light sauce. For the main course, we really enjoyed the two dishes. The Iberian pork was succulent and the fish ("bar") was beautifully cooked. The vegetable accompaniment was imaginative and very tasty. The waiter was friendly, smiling, quick, and very professional. All in all a very agreeable experience.

Slightly late on a Sunday night scouting around for food and getting cranky with hunger we happened upon Atelier St. Roch and were rewarded with lovely service and some dishes that lodge happily in the memory weeks later. Particularly good were the baked Hake dish and the Fig Tart with honey and Thyme. Don't hesitate.

I was taken here by friends with no expectations, to leave having thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. Décor is fairly modern, including some of the tableware which catches the eye more than being practical. Waiting staff are very professional and explain dishes and wines. Food beautifully presented and cooked. A bit far from the centre of Montpellier if you don't have your own transport.

We had a wonderful evening. It was simply perfect, from the warm welcome, the delicious food and the matching wine suggestions to the attentive and friendly service. We would love to come back!

A group of us were in Montpellier and wanted somewhere to eat. There was a general agreement that seafood would be nice and the hotel found this restaurant for us.It was an excellent choice. The patron was a most helpful and quite amusing fellow and nothing really was too much trouble. He spoke some English too which was a help for some of the group. Eating seafood in France is rather more "hands on" than in the UK so tearing crabs apart was something of a novelty for some of the group and showing them the dead man's fingers a real necessity. The oysters were absolutely excellent. They had about five or six different oysters on sale so there was a real choice. Then came the main courses - well an awful lot of food and some of us had over-ordered.It was not cheap but seafood is quite expensive and you do want it fresh but actually it was worth the money. The restaurant itself was fairly basic with no frills but the food certainly made up for it. In the warmer weather you can sit outside but it was just not quite warm enough the evening we visited.

This restaurant proposes a contemporary cooking(kitchen), between country(soil) and spicy flavors
As visitors discover, Montpellier has a huge range of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, pizza parlours, creperies, curry houses - you name it. This one is genuinely special. It's a small place north of the Hotel de Ville with a couple of tables outside and a couple inside. The team comprises the chef in his open-plan kitchen and the lady who runs front-of-house who is genuinely charming. We kicked off with a bottle of Puech-Haut St Drezy, a local top-grade cuvee, for 30 euros ( a steal) which was bright violet in the glass, tight, rich and austere all at the same time. It reminded me of a Pomerol, driven by fruit and bright colour. What a bargain for the price. I then had lamb chops - sweet, rich and fragrant with rosemary from the hills nearby and accompanied by a pleasant ratatouille crusted with a farinaceous crumble. My wife ordered the monkfish - a beefy big sirloin of no-nonsense monkfish atop a timballe of unctuous risotto with a rich chorizo broth around the side. A really compelling combo. This sort of cooking is why you come to France to enjoy. The price was ridiculously low, best wine, coffees and calvados included. I am a very picky and critical person when it come to spending the hard-earned in restaurants and this place deserved every euro,

We were recommended Villa 29 by our excellent hotel, Les Arceaux. It as an excellent recommendation. The restaurant is lovely, the food was tasty, the owners were delightful, the ambiance was relaxing. We strongly recommend that a visit to Montpelier should include a meal at this superb delight.the portions are generous. The 5 tapas make a full meal. The burger with goat cheese is just wonderful.

I arrived to this busy little restaurant tonight (Sunday Evening) with four of my friends. We had come across this pizzeria though trip advisor and we were delighted with the first impressions! It seems to be a family run pizzeria, with an open kitchen so you can watch your pizza being made right in front of you! The service we received was one of the best we have experienced yet in Montpellier. All the servers could not do enough for us! (This included complimentary deserts and one of the servers running to the shop to get the cans of Coke Zero we ordered!) The pizza was delicious, and very generously proportioned. Very reasonable and a huge selection on the menu. The chef also made some very good suggestions for us based on the menu also. Overall a very enjoyable evening, delicious food and fantastic service. Would highly recommend and we will most certainly be returning!!!

Great Moroccan restaurant,Good quality food ,Warm welcome Average ambiance Good prices The only issue is that the opening times are limited especially at night Thank you very much for your comments. I understand for the opening times ,but we had to make a choice, in the morning i start around 7.30 am 8am to do the bread , than to do the dessert ,etc and in winter times as it's very busy i have only about 1/2 hour break until closure time so if we're opening late , it will be difficult for me to carry on .But in summer time it's not that busy, so maybe you're right , we've got to think about it.But thank you again .

It was a long time since my last moroccan dish, the quality of the food was amazing, the wine also is fantastic. The only criticism would be the wait before to get the dishes BUT it was a saturday night. Also the prices are not cheap but everything is homemade then...I recommend!!!
