We are a family run, Italian delicatessen, located in Chapel Place, Tunbridge Wells. We offer great coffee, appreciated by the discerning coffee drinker as well as authentic food reflecting the true taste of Italy.
Making our way up from the Pantiles to the top of the town, we decided to grab a quick coffee here.Well, we didn't! My wife (once married to an Italian) saw the quality of the lasagne and insisted that we had lunch straight away!Delicious. Really good.We washed the food down with two very acceptable glasses of house red ----that's two glasses each mind you!Service was spot on. Friendly and helpful. The manager/owner even translated an email from Venice for me to read. Will we return? Yes!

Delicious family generation Greek food
Visited the restaurant on a Friday lunchtime and had our pick of the tables as there were no other customers in the restaurant at all. Contrary to the website, there is no lunch menu available. The waitress said it hasnât been available for 7/8 months. Why is it still on the website then? I find this pretty deceitful as the prices are a lot better on the lunch menu than the main menu. We ordered gyros and chips and the chips were very good, a few of the olives were bad but my âchickenâ was almost unidentifiable as such. It was like the ends of a doner kebab that were old and almost translucent. The waitress was nice but the atmosphere was non-existent. I would return but on a Saturday night and give the place another chance.

My Daughter and I came here with a "Groupon Voucher" - Good value and nice food, staff were polite and attentive. Will come again, without the voucher, so their promotion worked for new customers.

Another example of falling for vastly overrating reviews, also on tripadvisor.Because of these reviews we had great expectations when dropping impromptu into this tiny place with tiny tables and bad air. This place is run by a husband and wife team. The husband, a heavy smoker, prepares formulaic pasta dishes, most of the swimming in a cherry tomato and garlic sauce. Our Spaghetti Carbonara were drowned in too much oil. The fish of the day clearly came from the freezer of was as tough as cardboard. What a waste of an evening! Learning from experience helps others. The bill was way to high for what we got. Be forewarned!

Tunbridge Wells has a number of restaurants, but we have often found it difficult to consistently get decent food at a reasonable price. Each time we've been to Don G, we've left with a feeling of satisfaction. The last time we visited, it was quiet, (thus echoing some of the other reviews here), but service, food and wine were all good. There were 4 of us, and all enjoyed our choices, which were selected across the menu range.

Authentic, family-run Italian Restaurant, serving traditional Southern Italian recipes and welcome. Using the freshest ingredients to create many dishes to keep following the Mediterranean Diet.
Il Vesuvius is one of my favourite places to eat. You are treated like a long lost friend when you arrive, the service is attentive and friendly and the food!! Try the Pollo alla crema di funghi - absolutely wonderful! The food is always exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. No better way to spend an evening with friends or family!

We prepare everything in premises daily and everything fresh our full of flavour food served with a big smile.
We visited on a Wednesday night. Good to see the place nearly full-always a good sign! All the starters were amazing, Iâd recommend the scallops with hellim, really well cooked. All mains were outstanding, my chicken dish with yogurt was outstanding, the best Iâve had locally by far. Great wine selection and every one of the waiting staff we encountered were very professional and polite. If you havenât been here yet - why the hell not???!! Canât wait to return.

A full English for me and a panini for the hubby (it was brunch time!). My substantial brekkie all came piping hot with toast and was delicious. Hubby said his panini was lovely. Would definitely recommend and go again if in Tunbridge Wells.
